Chief Becker was the ONLY Fire Chief to present an HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY effort to help the fire department expand. Unfortunately, the narrow-minded fireman LIED and continues to LIE to the taxpayers in Springboro & Clearcreek. WE NEED CHIEF BECKER's LEADERSHIP BACK! He is the only one the community TRUSTED -- not these backstabbing "AGENBROAD" act-a-likes. WADE should be worried -- he will NOT be re-elected in November -- This is a promise from the citizens of Springboro & Clearcreek. After Wade is gone, so will Pickett, Wilhelm, Gabbard, LITTLE KIDD, and his two-faced firefighters -- who make WAY TOO MUCH MONEY in the first place!

Guess who "Tell the Truth" that lives in Brunswick, Ohio is? It's my old neighbor, Bernie himself, spreading his lies about the firemen. Don't believe me, see for yourself:

http://fiscalofficer.cuyahogacounty.us/Audito...

Type in "Becker"...a funny thing happens, good 'ol Bernie owns a $315,000 house in North Royalton, which is right around the corner from Brunswick! I have a fireman that lives here in Sycamore Springs just a few houses down from me on Lakeside, we both have a $180k house. And these guys make too much money? I guess writing a book under a fake name after you are run out of town must be a lucrative move.

Bernie, aren't there enough boys at your new college job to chase around?

TIME TO START PACKING YOUR BAGS!

Lawsuit revived in on Ohio township's meetings

LEBANON, Ohio A lawsuit challenging a township's longstanding practice of holding informal gatherings before official public meetings is headed back to a southwest Ohio court.

An Ohio 12th District Court of Appeals judge ruled recently that the lawsuit was dismissed prematurely by a Warren County court. He sent it back to resolve conflicting testimony on whether Clearcreek Township trustees are violating state open meetings law.

Judge Robert Ringland wrote that were too many unanswered questions, including whether the "pre-meeting meetings were prearranged, what the purpose of the meetings was and whether deliberations took place therein." Township officials defend the practice of having informal gatherings in the administrator's office ahead of the twice-monthly township meetings.

Township administrator Dennis Pickett said his office is open as township trustees come in and out to gathering information to prepare a half hour before the scheduled public meetings.

"My door's open. They wander in and out," he said. "It's just been everybody in preparation for the meeting is here early, and it gives me an opportunity to show them what we've done in the last two weeks, and just lay out the plan, see if I've got enough information for them to make a decision."

The lawsuit filed by a township resident, Jack Chrisman, says the "pre-meeting meetings" are illegal because public business is discussed by a trustee majority. Chrisman, who ran unsuccessfully for trustee in 2011, says in the lawsuit that the there is no public notice of the meetings, the public isn't invited, and there is no report made on what was discussed.

Chrisman's lawyer, Curt Hartman, said the three trustees have taken pre-meeting polls in their sessions.

"They pull things off the agenda if they think there will be disputes," Hartman said. "They want to have a uniform public face."

Dennis Hetzel, executive director of the Ohio Newspaper Association, thinks the township practice is questionable.

"When they have these information-gathering sessions, if they are discussing stuff, I think you can argue that they are deliberating," Hetzel said. "If they start asking questions or discussing, they have moved over from information-gathering to deliberating."

Lawyers will meet with Warren County Common Pleas Judge James Flannery on July 24 to discuss how to proceed in the case, including when it might go to trial.

This was obviously deliberated and hammered out before the commencement of yesterday's meeting. Ed Wade was the first trustee to suggest trying the fire levy next spring instead of this fall. If they hadn't discussed it whatsoever there most certainly would have been some element of surprise showing on the face of at least one other trustee. This didn't happen.

and Gabbard, Wade's puppet spoke at the same time Wade was moving his hand behind Gabbard...just like a puppet..no surprise there. Linda Oda pretty much shredded the graphs and charts of the fire chief..quite amusing. It's blatantly obvious that Wade doesn't want to jeopardize his re-election bid by voting for another levy in November. Shows you where his priorities are...what a coward !

That's six extra months that the residence in the area of station 23 will be without adequate fire and ems protection, also causing the other areas to also suffer. It will take the longer response time to seriously cause harm, loss of property and god forbid a loss of a life before the citizens will wake up and see that this was their decision! When it happens don't blame the fire/ems personal. Look in the mirror.

according to the township leader..they can reopen station 23 with the surplus money they have...and I blame the township leadership, not the tax payers who got tired of this shell game played by wade, pickett, kidd, and gabbard.

It is interesting that the coward Clearcreek fireman want to blame Chief Becker for THEIR short-comings today. What a bunch of cry-babies. I watched the video and Agenbroad was the shift supervisor who allowed these adolescents to slide down the stairs on a back-board, not Chief Becker. Get your FACTS right before opening your pie-hole, and get off of your lazy-boy recliner and do something positive for a change. Remember, we the taxpayers pay your salary. You better not forget that.

Bernie, why would you shift the blame? Weren't you responsible for everything that happened in Springboro's fire department when you actually were the chief? Why not be honest with the people? Have you lost your moral compass??

Come on Bernie, aka Tell the Truth, aka Kelly Daughtry. We don't buy your bag of crap now that you live in Cleveland any more than we did back when you lived here around the corner.

Give it a rest on the emotional blame game of blackmailing for dollars. That tactic is as old and outdated as the state's old tunnel vision of collective bargaining rights, that are proving wrong for the public's best interest. Taxpayers are clearly shown that this fake budget crisis of the government inflicting pain and suffering upon if we don't "shut up and pay up" is just silly.
The dangerous agenda that resulted from the Wade/Gabbard/Kidd
pre-arranged community drama, was fiscal officer's direction to this "board to spend down their big surplus (carry over of big bucks) before they came back to ask taxpayers for MORE money.
Where's the Responsibility in that fiscal officer's blessings to Spend and Tax and then Tax and ..... on and on. Stay Alert, Voters, and check the township website often and stop in on the township government business meetings on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

...and where have you been since May of this year, when the taxpayers proved to the Township government leaders that NO
ADDITIONAL LEVY IS NEEDED to provide public safety services.
We are now learning that the fire chief needs some training in fiscal responsibility; Mr. Kidd needs our help to help him learn how to budget priorities, working more efficiently for the public that he loves to "help."

According to this reader's personal experience in researching the true facts, it is found true that the DDN stories are often not facts at all; but only the distorted opinions of the DDN reporter.
