Duh, do you think Mr Kidd should have a chat with his boss Wade, and Anspach, before making any so called cuts at any fire station? As in the DDN today, Wade says he was never was told about any cuts or closing. WTH, who is running the show here Kidd or the trustees? Now Mr Kidd says he will not lay off any firemen or close any fire houses. Duh, now from here on out can we really trust this man to tell us the truth? Just one more reason to VOTE NO AGAIN this November.
PS, If he is broke like he claims how is he paying all these 72 people.
The reason he can afford to pay all those extra people is because he has a $7.4 million dollar surplus in the fire department fund and another $1 million in the ambulance fund. Mr. Kidd added 15 new full time employees with all associated state mandated perks and benefits that were not needed in mid 2011.

Screaming CUTS to the fire department is another way of frightening the public while attempting to divert attention away from the fact that they are overstaffed for the volume of calls that require response.

Staffing levels that were put into place by the current levy began in 2005, the first year everything the 2001 levy promised was in place and servicing the community.

Fire Department calls are up but 5.4% from 2005 ( the first year all of the improvements from the current levy were first in place) to 2012.

Requests for Service
2005.....2589 calls
2006.....2629 calls
2007.....2792 calls
2008.....3035 calls
2009.....2731 calls
2010.....2795 calls
After they added 12 new full time firefighters and 3 new administrators with SAFER money
2011.....2897 calls
2012.....2735 calls

Did we really need to add those extra bodies to handle the same load we had been successfully handling since 2005?

A YES vote on ISSUE 3 assures public safety, quick response when it counts, and the same well-protected community we enjoy now well into the future.
VOTE YES on 3!
The Responsible Choice of No Way In May proves No Levy Needed in November. So why the continued threats from the the Chief that his cuts are going to hurt deeply? Our Township/Springboro citizens must stand firmly in our responsibility to continue just saying NO to our local government's emotionally blackmailing for dollars.

Not A Chance that I will waste my valuable time reading the dayton daily news pro-levy union lovers "indoctrination." However, I do find these inspiring of Jefferson quite worthy of contemplation: "When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."
Mr. Kidd needs to learn to respect the citizens who employ him as CCFD chief; and stop this emotional blackmailing for dollars. It's just not nice for the government to threaten cuts that will hurt people badly.

Generally, a fire department is part of a city or county government, funded through the city or county’s general fund budget, derived from sales, property, and other taxes.

A fire district is a “special” district usually independent of any city or county government, funded by a portion of the property tax and a special tax assessment on properties within its district.
Fire districts generally provide service to rural and/or unincorporated areas surrounding a city or several cities, although some provide service within city boundaries as well as to the surrounding rural areas.

From the DDN: The Citizens for Responsible Spending posted signs opposing the Clearcreek fire levy, sometimes right next to those advocating for the levy. But its leader, Jack Chrisman, said he will look to follow Kohls on the school levy.

“If Kelly says she needs it, we won’t be against it,” Chrisman said.

If Kelly says I need to give up my first born for the cause....well, I guess I will do it. I'll be sorry to see the little guy go, but if Kelly says.... Geez, this is almost like a cult....

Here is what the Firefighters’ Union stands for:
http://www.firefightersforobama.com/index.cfm...

Mr. Kidd's emotionally blackmailing for dollars is all about job security for more full time Union employees, who in turn pay more union dues, which are then used to fight against taxpayers to get increased levies passed... and on and on ....
Stop the tax and spend addiction by making the responsible choice of No additional fire levy in November? Why waste your money fattening up the firefighters union, that will come right back at you for more...more... more? Just Say NO in November to additional fire levy that is not need; just union greed!

Carlisle's Larry Hook:
"There has to be an overall belief you're doing the right thing. If you can get that message across, you have a chance, you have a great chance."

Larry's been on the other side of the tracks a little too long. Quite obviously he's not in touch with the fact that Clearcreek Twp has tucked away over 13 million of our tax dollars in it's general fund.

Do you know how bully PTO mom, Sarah J and SEA/union activist Becki V, just LOVE WASTING TIME? Well, they get in a big black SUV and "stalk" around in the Springboro Schools District Office parking lot, driving round and round in circles, blinking their lights at the windows during the Board of Education Executive Meeting! Rumor has it they must have been on a sugar buzz from Dr. Malone's doughnuts. You know, the doughnuts that the old doctor prescribes for young high school students who can't "Thrive" in their studies without a daily dose of the

Hold On There Jack! The Springboro Schools RENEWAL Levy with no new taxes) in November is NEEDED! But, if Kelly Kohls caves in to the union and tells taxpayers that we need an additional teachers levy, then that ain't gonna happen in November!

Remember in November! Vote Yes for School Renewal Levy (with no new taxes) Vote Yes for Re-Election of Kelly Kohls for school board representative.

No New Taxes are needed on the November ballot for Clearcreek/Springboro CCFD because the township has plenty of money with about $13 million surplus. CCFD needs to stop taxing and cut spending. Clearcreek/Springboro citizens are going to have to "get over it" with the fear factor that "government" can save us from the perils of "staying alive" IF only taxpayers agree
to "pay up" big time anytime the "government" proclaims, The time has come for YOU to pay MORE!
No New Levies Are Needed! So, Why the deceit, CCFD?

Unionman bullying relys on a premise that taxpayers not voting to feed the pig will possess a lingering sense of guilt or shame. We can thank our Higher Power that the majority of Springboro / Clearcreek Township common sense voters were not to be intimidated. Did I hear something about a pig roast the 1st week of November?!?

Levies are forever! That's why our Clearcreek CCFD 2001 FOREVER Levy is still generating ENOUGH TAX REVENUE to support our needed CCFD public safety services, with NO ADDITIONAL LEVY NEEDED IN NOVEMBER 2013! Our May 7th Victory over the firefighters union has proven that NO ADDITONAL LEVY is needed for our CCFD for many years! Just say NO to Mr. Kidd and his Bully Campaign to Shove this Unnecessary Evil request down the throats of levy-fatigued taxpayers AGAIN in November! Where's the Success in that, Mr. Kidd?

Remember in November that Voters are urged to Say YES to Springboro Schools Renewal Levy with No New Taxes , which is needed, for the first time since our 2008 Renewal School Levy passed with a solid Victory! Since 2010, when Dr. Kelly Kohls came on board, she has been joined by other reform minded school board representatives, and together our Board is successfully implementing Our Children First Budgeting plan, which IS working!

Dr. Kelly Kohls has worked tirelessly in the best interest of our children's future, educating our community as a whole that our childlren first budgeting board members are committed to ensuring that the children of the Springboro community receive an excellent education, while keeping the costs of that education affordable, by carefully adhering to responsible spending.

The time has now come for us to help Dr. Kohls continue our success in keeping Springboro Education both Excellent And Afordable! The time has come in November 2013 to ask Dr. Kohls to work for our school children and community FOUR more years!
Thank you, Dr. Kohls, for helping Springboro become a way better place to live, work, learn, and play sports! Please know ouf our continued support of your leadership and re-election in November 2013!

Perhaps the loud voice of David Bowman, falsely accusing our board members of having no respect for teachers union is causing your deaf ear to turn against listening to the success of our children first budgeting board representatives. Our board representatives are successfully educating taxpaying voters of their committment to ensure that the children of the Springboro community receive an excellent education while keepig the costs of that education affordable, by carefuly adhering to responsible spending.
