No need for more "lamb in wade/wolves clothing" for trustee.

Vote No in May; deal with new leadership in November.

CLEARCREEK TWP., Ohio Trustees in Clearcreek Twp.- third among 11 Warren County townships in net property taxes - disagree about asking voters for an additional 4.5-mill levy to fund fire protection and ambulance services.
Still, the trustees voted 2-1 on Thursday to ask voters to approve a continuing 4.5-mill property tax levy expected to raise about $4.4 million a year on the May 7 ballot.
If approved by voters, property owners in the township - and the city of Springboro - would pay an additional $137.81 a year for every $100,000 in property valuation, according to the county auditor's office.
In 2014, property owners would pay $463.66 for every $100,000 of property value - more than any other township in the county, unless additional levies are approved, according to the auditor's office.
Supporters say the taxes are needed to maintain existing levels of service.
"No one wants to pay more taxes," Trustee Jason Gabbard said, noting support for the fire district in a recent community survey. "It's time to put it to a vote."
Failure to approve the levy would result in a reduction in service, including slower response times, to offset projected deficits growing from $2 million this year to $2.5 million in 2014, Fire Chief Bob Kidd said.
Unlike in other townships, Kidd pointed out his department covers a city and township. As a bedroom community, Clearcreek Twp. also lacks commercial development that can lessen the tax burden on homeowners, he added.
Since 2001, the service area's population practically has doubled, while the department has continued to operate on existing levies and grants, officials said. The district has added two stations and staffs three crews around the clock.
Trustee Cathy Anspach, who voted against putting the levy on the ballot, said she wants the township to cut expenses first.

We cannot afford to ignore the truthful vote of township trustee to cut expenses BEFORE asking for new money.

Vote No New Taxes in May -- Only then will Wade and Gabbard hear the TRUTH that homeowners do NOT want to pay more taxes for government services.

Shouldn't Anspach be focusing on keeping herself out of trouble? Did't she pay off a police officer to keep her son out of trouble, then subsequently fire him to keep it quiet? Why isn't she in jail??

Before you make her out to be the savior of the township budget, maybe you should see how much they had to pay to make her illegal actions go away without causing tens of thousands of dollars in lawyer fees.

Here's another tidbet for your easter basket. Agenbroad, you know, the mayor that almost won the Nam war on his own, has called Lamb and promised to back him in Lamb's township race. So, don't tell me agenbroad and wade are NOT joined at the hip. Folks, we have only 2 people running this township, and both of them want your money for their power trip. WAKE UP !

THE one that belongs in jail is Wade, with his insurance scam on the township. Wonder how much the township spent covering his backside.

Don't be silly. First of all, It was the Clearcreek Township fiscal officer who spoke up in protection of township homeowners who are being overtaxed. And don't argue that the "minutes" state otherwise. Those of us who were eye witnesses at the public meeting (seeing Mr. Pickett put on his little "magic" show making the big surplus of over-collected taxes disappear) know the whole truth....And it was only ONE of our trustees who truthfully voted No Tax Increase on our homes; but yes to cutting expenses.
Now we just have to spread the whole truth that voters need to take the good advice of the one truthful trustee, and support voting No New Taxes and vote yes to cutting expenses.
No matter what party, here we have TWO WISE WOMEN in our local government leadership being bullied by the "good old boys" in efforts to send a loud message for this year's election: Don't crash our party; or we'll TRASH your reputation.
Don't be fooled by the union bullydogs bark....It's not as bad as allowing the government to take another big bite of our hard-earned money.

No doubt, the Wade, Lamb, and Agenbroad group have their deflectors activated, trying to confuse the voters with nonsense, just to deflect their agendas. Their secret to success...it isn't honesty, it's money...lots of money.

What are the facts?
Did the Township buy Jason Gabbard's property for $1.5 million for a park? Shouldn't a park levy have been the way to ask the citizen's if they wanted to pay for it?
Did the township trustee's refuse to give the taxpayer's a tax holiday as recommended by the fiscal officer for money collected but in her words not needed? Does the Township not have a surplus of cash between $12-14 Million?
The article states: "
"Unlike in other townships, Kidd pointed out his department covers a city and township. As a bedroom community, Clearcreek Twp. also lacks commercial development that can lessen the tax burden on homeowners, he added.
Since 2001, the service area's population practically has doubled, while the department has continued to operate on existing levies and grants, officials said."
Doesn't the city pay the township for this service?
Why does the Township lack commercial development? Unfriendly zoning and over taxation? If the service area's population has doubled, are not the new residents also paying taxes for this service?
If you read the meeting minutes employees are getting raises and new equipment and training are being purchased.
Maybe the Township trustees should do a survey to see how many residents have lost their jobs or taken pay cuts, how many businesses have shut down, how many businesses are struggling, how many residents are struggling, how many foreclosures there are, and how much the property value has fallen.
Is there a Budget posted on the Township website? Why does the 2012 annual financial report have all zeros'?
What are the facts?
Where is yhe budget?
