those corrupt people in the township purposely scheduled the levy for May, hoping to have folks forget they have to vote on this BEFORE November. What scoundrels !

Just Vote Yes in November to new leadership replacing good old boy township trustee Ed Wade.

Just what is your fixation on teabaggers? Has nothing to do with the crooks running the township, who are using the fire dept for cannon fodder.

Voters know that facts are proven that local homeowners cannot afford, nor do we need, increased local government services; and only in the opinion of elected officials, such as Ed Wade and Jason Gabbard, does our local government know better how to irresponsibly spend homeowners hard earned money on parks and recreation empowering the unions with greater control over our household budgets. Voters should just say NO to new taxes; and NO to the leadership of highly paid double dipper administrators, such as Mr. Pickett, who continues promoting draining dry the well from which our local government agencies already so heavily drink.
Take a look at Mr. Pickett's double dipping salary -- a whopping $144,000.....! That is outregeous; compare that to the Governor's salary of $148,000 for admininstrating the business of the entire state of Ohio ....

More comments about Double Dipping, you can find out how many people in your local schools, local townships and Cities are retired and rehired. Ask for the records of whom is currently a retire rehire and how much they make. It is a public record and is your right to know.

It happened right here in Clearcreek Township. When Dennis Pickett retired July a year ago, Trustee President Mr Ed Wade couldn't wait the 75 days required by law to rehire Mr Picket so he could join the ranks of the double dippers too. With 5,000.00 per month from the township retirement, then add that to his new salary of 84,000.00 and that does not include his car allowance and several other perks, the one I like is he can come to work or not,( no joke ). He can choose to come to work when at his own choice. That comes to about what most of us hard working tax payers make, 144,000.00, RIGHT!

The only way to put a stop to these buzzards flying around the pot of gold is to stop paying taxes. When we all do that then the public workers will come down to earth, like us.

They will never realize that our financial crisis is due to their spending, padding government pockets, protecting each other, taking from the real work force until we stop handing it over to them. Take these spenders out of office, say no to new and existing taxes, downsize your tax burden. We have also have triple dippers in our government.

Vote Smart in May -- Vote NO one the Gabbard/Wade fire levy tax increase.
There is no "brighter future" in the tunnel vision booth of voting yourself increased taxes; just more status quo of the good old boys doing business as usual; strolling through taxpayer-funded Springboro parks carelessly spending OUR hardearned greenbacks to cover the mud with synthetic green.

Wow, with that logic we should also get rid of our police force cause I'm not being robbed. Might as well get rid of the doctors as well because I'm not sick either, and I'm not being sued so bye bye lawyers.
The fire department is staffed with paramedics\firefighters that handle any medical emergencies as well. It's a nice insurance policy to know that 24/7 I can call 911 for any reason and they will show up to help. I for one will be voting YES.

July 3 1863 - C.S.A. Gen. George Pickett's men are completely routed at Gettysburg Penn. by Union forces; a one-sided battle widely known as "Picket's Charge"

November 5 2013 - Almost exactly 150 years later and a mere 7 hours drive west of Gettysburg; Dennis Pickett along with his cohorts in municipal revenue deception are routed at the polls as a result of the "People's Charge"

How silly you are! Are your doctors threatening to endanger the well being of you and your family IF you don't vote increased taxes on your family home in May? The answer is NO!

Are Springboro lawyers threatening not to come to your legal aid IF you don't vote increased taxes on your family home in May?
The answer is NO!

Are Springboro firefighters/paramedics going to ignore your public safety needs IF you don't vote increased taxeson your family home in May? The answer is NO!

Smart yourself up and stop trying to be so dramatic with those scary "what if's" Most of them never happen anyway.
Just Vote No to increased taxes and pocket that money to take your family off for a holiday together and Enjoy! Be Happy!
Our Clearcreek Township government has lots of money in the general fund. And if it can be moved over to the Parks division with the vote of Gabbard/Wade; it can be moved over to the Springboro Fire department, if there is a need.

Good luck with that. Ever hear of sovereign immunity?

Besides, if you vote no on Issue 3, you are sending a message that you want a decreased level of service in our community. Why would you be surprised then that the level of service you received was decreased? That it took longer to get a fire truck to you when your house was on fire? That the ambulance coming to your heart attack is coming from 10+ miles away? Isn't that what you are arguing for here?

You want it all, but you don't want to pay for any of it. It would be nice if life worked that way.

So 4.5 mil for what???? Those salaries, raises and benefits are HUGE!
No way in May should Springboro/Township homeowners ALLOW themselves to be bullied into a big tax increase on our family homes!

Where is the budget?

We do know that Robert L. Kidd's salary increase to $91,661.76
was voted on at the December 13, 2012 meeting; in addition to others including, Ronald L. Wilhelm's increased $89,020.61 annual salary plus $126.92 per pay period car allowance. Where are the taxpayer-funded costs of "plus benefits" recorded for public record?

DDN - Unlike in other townships, Kidd pointed out his department covers a city and township. As a bedroom community, Clearcreek Twp. also lacks commercial development that can lessen the tax burden on homeowners, he added.-DDN

Kidd failed to point out that Clearcreek Township collects TAXES on all Springboro homeowners (in addition to the Township over-collecting taxes from Township homeowners) and there is NO WAY IN MAY that Springboro/Township homeowners should be heavily burdened with this outrageously expensive 4.5 mil fire levy tax increase.

Vote No to new money and sent a clear message to township government to stop threatening to punish firefighters/paramedics when the levy fails; and CUT EXPENSES so that these public safety employees can continue serving the public, who pays their salaries.
