18-year-old shot, killed by Dayton police officer

We closed the last case we had with this family in November of 2006 and we have been involved with them off and on since 2003 Six months ago, Nolan Hunter told Dayton police "his life has been miserable since the day he was born." Nolan's life was not miserable. I want to know how does something that Nolan may have said in a time when he felt hurt, angry, desperate and confused, have anything to do with the situation at hand? Nolan was protecting his home and his family when he was murdered. Only those who truely love Nolan Lamont Hunter know how much darker the world is without his light in it. I will never stop being there and fighting for you. You will see justice. You always said I was your best friend till the end. I wanna tell you that you are still my best friend. I love you Nolan.

My Uncle Nolans life was not miseralbe
he was a happy person
and he always knew how 2 make me and my cousins laugh
that has nothing to do with my my uncle nolan geting murdered
what he did was for protection
and what the cop did 2 him was unnecissary...

i want to tell folks about my brother, as everyone knows no one is perfect, but nolan was a really good person. i really miss my brother alot, i think of him everyday all day. and i want to say that my brother and he was my best friend was killed by someone who was sworn to serve and protect. this police officer is evil, cause he killed a young man in cold blood... the media portrays things the way they want to because they do not know the whole story. there are so many people saying all these bad things about nolan that breaks my heart because i know that its not true and i know what did and did not happen. nolan you deserve justice for what he did to you. its babd enough this happened in the first place, now people are saying all of these things judging you and they don't even know you. it ain't right. i can't stop ignorant people from thinking the way do or saying stupid things. all i can do is educate.

sometimes the media do know that they print the wrong stuff,they do that to keep the ratings.i seen this first hand ,when the news team came to my house,with the police,they found that eventhing was good,and nothing was wrong,then i called the news, and asked them why they didn't air the good stuff, they replied that good stuff don't help there ratings.also if they are givin the wrong info, they are not going to research it, they just print what they got.thats just how it is.the media can say something bad about anything, and we take what they say as gospel.now when i watch the news i wonder sometimes is that what really happened.did they leave something out,did they add something. was it givin to them wrong.think about it.

pam knows how i feel about this one. nolan called the police for help and they murdered him. i will not call the police if i need help. i'd rather take my chances.

i thought that the case was over with but i hear it's still going on anybody else herd anything

i testified in july at the grand jury hearing against officer orick. however, not everyone got to testify and crucial info was omitted, so they found him "justified" in his actions. to answer your question, no this is not over. the family has a lawyer in cincinnati that is actively fighting with us and i believe that nolan will have justice.
