Lag B'Omer keeps firefighters busy

Firefighters were kept busy over the weekend after trash bins were set ablaze during an Ultra-Orthodox Jewish celebration involving dancing around bonfires.

Its amazing that lighting fires is part of this so called holiday. The fire department shouldn't have to deal with this nonsense! The Congrigation Bais Chana in Monsey, NY on Dykstras Way had a huge bonfire along with a loud speaker that blasted music and a man singing live. It was horrible and very inconsiderate to the people that live in the area that don't celebrate this "holiday". They blasted loud music and a man screaming some type of chants along with dancing around a huge fire until well after 11pm. If this isn't some type of cult, then I don't know what is! Just horrible!

They should go with me to the mosque. We will teach them how to celebrate!
