Is anyone else disgusted with the acts of this mayor and his court jesters? He said in the NewsTribune that he has made some rush decisions that were not too smart. You think Mayor Banks? You went down to the bank and signed a $20,000 payment for sewer and water for a lawn care business that generates almost NO income for our town? What were you thinking?! As for the animal clinic by Webster Park, let the cocky son of a bi#ch leave. He does not respect his neighbors at all. He knew his location was residential! Plus how much money does he bring to the town? Let's get some businesses in that are going to generate revenue for this town!!!
Let's clean up our downtown - it is FILTHY! Make these store owners keep their storefronts clean and not littered with paper, cigarette butts, and whatever is laying down on the ground. Get the damn shopping carts off the sidewalk by Dollar General, they are a danger!!!
I use to love Spring Valley but it is starting to look like a dump!!!!
I live there too

Wow! Take a pill.
I was at the meeting of the Dr. and the citizens of Webster Park.
He agreed to all of their wishes. That business has been there forever. I am not a client, but I have been there on occasion. The place is extremely clean, odor free, and quiet. Spring Valley needs every business they can get. If that building changes hands, they could get a lot worse.
Spring Valley is known for letting everybody do their own thing because "somebody else did it". This has to stop if the City is to get any better. The rules were written for a reason, but the Council doesn't have the backbone to say no to anybody.
I am not for the lawn care, but what about the excessive sum of money to run water to the new hospital. The previous Mayor was responsible for that fiasco. An example was shown not long ago when the Council wanted to pay two engineers because one started the job. Spend more money because we want everybody to be happy. It is because of these stupid decisions that we are getting deeper in debt.
I wish they would all take a few lessons from the new Alderman, Mike. Nice job being done my him.
It seems if the previous Mayor and Council had done a better job, we wouldn't be trying to clean up so much now.

Take a pill? All you are doing is passing the buck. Typical politics. The streets are in shambles, pot holes everywhere!! I guess the last mayor left those behind also. And yes, shame on the last mayor and council members for running the sewer lines for the "new" St.Margarets. What a huge waste of money.
Why can we not get business to this town? Peru, LaSalle, Ottawa have businesses. Why can't we get
companies here. And NO I do not want a fish farm!!
