Fire animal shelter provides for pets, owners

Volunteers running a shelter for pets evacuated from the Concow area fires faced a dilemma this week when it became apparent their owners, most also staying there, could be displaced for several days.

Amazing that during a disaster that animal control would even consider the seizure of an animal who is not mistreated )the ferret). I feel that this attitude creates an aura of distrust of the attempts of the non-profits who have long cared for animals in disaster.
