Why do some pet groomers get away with not paying property taxes. In business for many (23) years and suddenly they claim to have just learned from the state about paying business property taxes?

Before the State of Texas raises our property and business Taxes any higher, it should find more of tax cheats or these ignorant pet groomers.

All groomers are not as ignorant!
I pay my property taxes and I report my grooming business tools, equipment and products every year before the business rendition report is due on april 15th. But I agree the State of Texas needs to do more about those that do not. And do it before they even think about raising taxes.

Anyone that can avoid paying any tax for 23 years is not ignorant! Unethical and unpatriotic yes, but not ignorant!

To TAXPAYER..THAT is MY POST! I am NOT ignorant.. I have been grooming for 23 yrs NOT in business for myself but the last few years. I collect AND pay my sales taxes THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! I was unaware of the property tax!!! NO ONE told me I had to even after taking my taxes every year to an accountant!!! I RENT my home I run my business out of a trailer that is mobile HAD I KNOWN I would have paying all this time. I do not have $7K worth of equipment like Pet Stylist..I maybe have $1K worth AND I also turn in my little bs sheet to the Comptroller every April about my vehicle being dual purpose. Don't pass judgement before you find out all the facts! Maybe you should be directing your anger to all the on the side at home pet groomers working out of their homes on craigslist who I KNOW are not collecting any sales taxes nor are they reporting income to the IRS!!! They don't even have a Texas Sales and Use permit!!!

"Maybe Heidi is behind the Tax advice similar to ACORN being suggested in the Groom Team USA Newsletter by Pat Finn. Unbelievable!! Is nothing safe from greed and corruption?"

Changing business name from:

to

when you can be tracked on a message board runs the risk of being caught again.
You know nothing about the name change, so don't judge and assume you know everything!
NOT evading taxes! I closed my mobile business and now in stationary shop because I decided I didn't want to be mobile anymore. GEEZ what is the deal with you people!?!? I have been paying my damn taxes I file my taxes every year and pay the state sales tax every stinking quarter! The only issue was I was mobile at the time when this idiot posted this and at THAT time after the first 2 years I did not know I was supposed to be filing a property tax since I didn't KNOW I was supposed to. I dealt with the tax assessor. Good lord you people are Nazi's I take credit cards and checks, I don't like dealing with cash. There are groomers out there working out of their homes on the sides.. I am LEGIT. Look it up on the county and and my tax filing!!!
