Thank goodness it's only in New Jersey. No one from outside Jersey would ever go there on purpose, and if the people who live there are stupid enough to pump munitions up on the sand, and then let their kids play in it, then I guess que sera sera.

New New Jersey Beach Motto- Dig in our sand and you're likely go find a prize you'll never forget, at least until it explodes. KAAA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Believe it or not the tolls are not some scheme by NJ to make sure everyone pays on the way out... they are devised by the Port Authority and by agreement between NY and NJ so that people dont have to pay both ways... it could just as easily be the other around.... also, comparatively, nj has some of the cleanest beaches in the country... you ever swim in Southern Cali? Its like swimmin in sludge... and you dont even want to know about the crap all around the Gulf Coast. Knock the state all you want, I dont live there anymore, but just realize it aint nearly as bad as everything thinks.
