I am a visitor from Florida. I love Spring Lake. One thing however. I got a parking ticket ($54)for parking at night on a side street. I accept it BUT there is not a single sign or notice on that or any other block. I wish I could spend the time in court to ask about the legality about that. There are notices about evenrthing else that is illegal.
Be aware of this tourist rip-off

There are large signs at each town point of entry indicating there is no overnight parking on the streets.

I agree with Howard. Spring Lake Parking is a rip off!
I believe that they are targeting out of staters, I'm from MI and was there for a wedding and also got a $54 parking ticket, but for parking within 25 feet of crosswalk. There was no marked crosswalk on the road or stop sign at this intersection. Our state law says 15 feet without a crosswalk. Be forewarned they apparently have very strick state laws! Driving thru the town is very confusing, and having signs up at entry is easily missed for people not familiar with the area.

Yea I lived in Spring Lake Heights for 20 years and I know for a fact that there is no overnight parking tickets that is only in effect during the late fall to early spring in case of a snow storm and the roads aren't blocked for the plows.

Nope it's in effect all year long and yes there are signs at every single entrance to the town.

It is hard to say you don't know about overnight parking in Spring Lake. We have been doing the car shuffle every day of our lives to make sure are cars are off the streets when we go to bed.

Personally I fed up with all the tourists who think this is Disney Land. They stop at streets with no stop signs and cruse past the ones that are there. Thank God for Labor Day most will be out of town till next June.

In the 'good old days' we didn't let the Garden State Parkway mention Spring Lake at Exit 98. We don't really go out of our way for the 'Snookie' crowd. Up until 5 years ago we had 'Big Sea Day' in September until all the out-of-towners decided to crash it and ruin the day for everyone.

We don't charge to park on our streets all we ask is you get your car off the road by 2:00am.

Sounds like you're the loser here Rocky, residents of SpringLake aren't the ones who have to woory about the $54 dollar tickets it's you and if I had my way they would be and even $100.So the next time one of you"daytrippers" park in front of my house ...on the curb or sidewalk, or block any portion of my driveway.....open the wallet becuase you're being towed.

So I see I am not the only victim. For those of you who do not want us "in your town" I'm sorry you chose to live there. However, the point I would like to address are the signs at the "entrance" of the the town and that is as detail a response you receive, even from the municipal court. Could someone please point them out, cross section or street locations. Not all out of towners are disrespectful and the targeting is highly unfair.
