You know I woke up this morning earlier than usual, due to the fact that my bed was shaking. I thought to myself that I was dreaming. I looked at the clock and the time showed 5:38 AM. I was scared, I thought someone was in my home or doing something to my home or worse maybe I'm just dreaming that my bed was possessed. Anyway I always have my TV positioned on Channel 8 and sure enough an earthquake was reported and I felt the aftershocks....all the way on the Southeast side of Grand Rapids MI. Thanks for confirming that I wasn't dreaming and I'm not crazy!!!

I watched the news tonight and I was amazed there was a tremor at according to my computer clock the time was 11:17 I was sitting at my computer desk and my desk started to shake so I called my Mom and asked her if she felt any shaking. I thought I was imagining it or the wind blowing in caused it to shake. My sister called me to confirm the news was reporting tonight that there was an after shock at that time. So I guess I did feel something after all.

I woke up this morning with my bed bumping up and down - my first thought was that my cats were jostling my bed from below. I got up and thought I was going to have to chase them out of my bedroom when I realized they weren't around. My husband told me about the earthquake later and that explained the strange events from this morning.

At 5:30a.m. I was awakened by vibrating handles on my bedroom dressers. The one dresser is very solid, so I know it took a lot to move it. My first thought was the dog, but he was sound asleep, and he couldn't have shook that one. It kept it up for at least 30 seconds. That's at least as much as I heard after I woke up. I am wondering if there is a map indicating just how far the tremors were felt in Michigan--how far north and east? Do the TV station towers, like the one we live under (WZZM13 TV), get checked after something like this happens? I wonder how much it moved.

South Haven area in the country. I was on my computer reading the news, it was very calm and quiet when i heard the rumbling of what i thought to be a huge farm tractor coming up the road. I thought it was odd a tractor going out into the fields that early in the morning. The house cracked and creaked just a little for a few seconds. The beagles were barking outside, they knew what was going on. I didnt actually know it was a quake because i didnt feel it. I didnt find out until i was on my way to work and heard it on the radio.

Yep, I was sitting on the couch configuring a laptop watching Wood TV Early Edition, heard a loud noise like a low flying jet - they come this way often - and the couch began swaying back and forth. Odd feeling. I thought it was from the noise after effect but I could not see any jets nor could I hear them going away toward the airport. I have two small milk cans on top of a book case and they began to rattle. That was weird. Then I saw the hanging lamp in my dinnet begin to swing. The couch was still swaying, actually felt good but weird as it is a heavy couch.

I live on the second floor of a three floor apartment building so this entire building must have been swaying as well. The time was about 5:30 am. I thought,'hum, another earthquake (felt one a few years ago), must be around 3.5 or so'. Sure enough, about ten minutes later you guys began scurrying around your news room and began talking about it.
