Speed limit in front of Port Royal Kroger

Has anyone ever noticed the speed limit in front of the Port Royal Kroger is 45 mph? That seems kind of fast for the amount of traffic trying to come out of The shopping centers, Haynes Crossing subdivision and apartment complexes through that area. Maybe it's just me ...

Are you kidding me? All the idi0ts go 30mph around there. I wish they'd up it to 50 to help the traffic flow. I have to constantly go around people b/c they don't pay attention to the speed limit there!!

50 mph to help the traffic flow Shawn? If that is the case, lets make it 50 through the residential areas as well! I hate going 20 MPH just in case I might run over a few idi0ts (as you call them) walking peacefully in their neighborhood.

They shouldn't be on the road to begin with. That's their own fault.

I bet Shawn is single, young and no children. I don't like slow speed limits either but if you ever walk in some of these neighborhoods with you kids you change your mind about the flow of traffic so someone can get home 2-4 minutes quicker.

I personally don't thinking increasing the speed limit on Port Royal between Saturn Pkwy and Duplex will help the flow of traffic. If there were no businesses and barring the two hair pin, elbow turns.... Maybe. There's just too much traffic trying to get "in" the flow. Perhaps a middle turning lane would be a start. I've almost been rear ended and few times trying to turn into Kroger.

I think it is the design that all south bound port royal traffic to enter the Kroger center using the Mann entrance not by the fuel center. Not that I agree with that but that's how they have it set up. What you can do is use the left hand turn lane to enter the dollar general complex go south in the lot and then cross into the fuel center

I think the idiots are city council. They should have made that 4 lane while they were working it. And there needs to be a 3 way stop at that intersection.

I spoke with the city about it, and they basically said it won't change until deaths/accidents happen. It's the only way that'll warrant a light/stop sign
