LdooL, yes, the environmental issues were resolved but the courts required TDOT to do some pretty substantial measures to limit environmental run off such as only allowing construction 8 or 9 months out of the year and requiring all kinds of erosion control measures. All of this equals slower construction. It will be complete in December 2012 I believe.

Well, they got 840 open but due to not widening 65 appropriately (even with a 10+ year lead time), it's pointless heading that way. I make better time going through downtown Franklin (and if I'm bored, I can take a few spins around the civil war monument.

The fun is just getting started. The next step is from where they stopped to the 840. But this includes a major redo of ex 61 there will be 2 new bridges the store on the west side will be gone and the TA will be moved back. I guessing about a year and a half. That will certainly be a major headache for a long time.
