I give it about 5 months & it'll be gone :(
It's hard for anything to survive over there, imo.

You have got to be the most ignorant person I have run across on this site. Spring Hill will live on long after the Saturn plant. You obviously don't drive anywhere other than to the gas station to get beer and your lottery ticket. If you have noticed, most people who live here drive into Franklin and Nashville for work!!!

I agree also most people who work at the GM plant do not live in Spring Hill.
I am just outside of Spring Hill and drive to Nashville to work and my wife works in Brentwood.
And we do need to shop and eat in spring hill for our town to grow

Yes, most SH residents work in Nashville, Brentwood or Franklin. In our case, my husband and I own a house in beautiful Spring Hill and work in California. We love it down there and are very proud of Spring Hill. The whole country is going through this (not just Spring Hill). I'm pretty confident that we'll move on and progress like we've always had, Being positive and doing what we have to do to contribute to growth. So let's all disregard the negative comment that looser wrote...

New question...

My wife and I are new to Spring Hill and we are expecting our first child. We would love for her to be a stay at home mom, but based on the economic situation, she is most likely planning on going back at least part time.

Any recommendations on child care in Spring Hill? Some place that will take children as young as 6 weeks, obviously. We are looking for great childcare that won't break the bank. Perhaps a church or a center?

To newbie:

I don't have the information you need but if you are a facebook user, you can join the "i heart spring hill (TN, y'all!)" group. I think there are more people there that can help you with suggestions. Hope it helps.

It may help if you posted your question in a new thread with Child Care as the subject. It's kind of buried in this topic.

stay away from Little Peoples Ink... that place needs to be shut down! "baby beating pot heads" is a more fitting name. peanut Gallery imo is the best in spring hill.

I just saw Jett's Pizza coming in next to Gigi's cupcake. I've luckily had Jetts pizza before and I'm very excited. They've got some of the best pan pizza I've tried in years!!!
