And the beat goes on..........

Sep 21, 2010

Let me tell you how it works on Spring Hill Topix....

Things get quiet, maybe a little inter person communications going on, then....

1. Kathleen posts one of her insane rants about Spring Hill or FL in general.

2. Someone responds to Kathleen's post stating it is not factual, because of course it never is.

3. Paul starts up with his little posts that amount to a pile of dog crap on a hot day.

4. Kathleen comes back with a retort like "you're stupid", "Hahaha" or other response of no merit.

5. This goes on for a few days and the posters who responded to Kathleen go away and don't bother to come back knowing well that the purpose of the two schmucks is to argue.

6. Kathleen blames the responding poster for being everything she is, to wit: Racist.

So, welcome to Spring Hill Topix, have a turn at the game with Kathleen and Paul.

I been living in the Springhill area for over 25 years, seen it grow with snowbirds over those years. We have a lot to offer great places to eat, shopping, beaches, warm weather, low taxes.Because all of the residents moved here from other states we have a wide variety of cultures, some bad but many good. Springhill has growned but still there is that small town atmosphere here

Cows in what is now Spring Hill? Didn't happen. The landscape would not support cattle. Mermaids here since 1947.

You will regret it, homeowners insurance with sinkhole coverage is outrageous, I'm at $3,000 and another increase in Jan. of 50 percent for sinkhole coverage......Hernando Cty has many, many sinkholes, we are the sinkhole capitol of Florida. Spring Hill was built in the late 60's for retirees, it is now a drug haven for everyone, pot grown in homes, you want little blue pills come to Spring Hill, within 5 mins you can get them. We have a tiny beach, that the county lets dogs run every two Sat. in the month, great you sit on the beach and your sitting is piss from a dog. Not much to do here, you have to head South for culture, museums, entertainment, we are a 50 min ride to Tampa, homes are real cheap here, many forclosures, some with sinkholes, some not, also the mix of people has changed, many Hispanic/African American have now made Spring Hill their home, no jobs our unemployment is 10.1 percent, if I had to do it over, I'd never have moved to Spring Hill, there are better places to live then here, buyer beware.
Pretty much sums it up, just the other day a black couple was arrested for selling crack cocaine out of their house, they also had 10 dogs...this in the new face of Spring Hill.

"Diversity in an area has been demonstrated in academia to reduce the net trust and sense of community in an area" - excuse the redundancy, I'm tired and didn't proofread what I wrote. What I'm saying is easy enough to understand regardless.

We were considering a trade of homes, ours in Smoky mountains of Tennessee for this area for retirement. We don't have all the crime and the unemployment numbers here, so we will stay in Tennessee where the cost of living is much less than Florida. No misquitos to speak of either.

We remember seeing cows from the window in McDonalds, Rt 19, by Holiday. It kind of ruined our appetite.

this place sucks to high hell, just another ghetto like nyc with sinkholes. High taxes, i don't have insurance cause I live on disability, why not everyone else does, and I don't want to work so this is the only place I could run to when my money ran out. If I could leave tomorrow I would. As far as selling pills it sure does supplement ones income!

Hello....my family and I are moving to the area next week. Our research showed it to be a nice experience in Spring Hill. Our physical address is listed as being in Hudson but, the Google maps show the area as West Argo Heights . It is just below County Line Rd. and looks as if we will do most of our business in Spring Hill as there does not seem to be too much in Hudson. We are fine with commuting to Clearwater and Tampa since we live in a small town now and commute into the city. Can anyone tell me more about the area in terms of shopping? We noticed a ton of consignment shops and are curious about what else the area holds. Our kids are going to go to Shady Hills Elementary. Let's hear your rants on the school as well.

WOW! We plan on moving to Spring Hill within the next couple years. We visited there in December. Plenty of shopping resources, Live now in Paducah KY. We noticed the traffic was pretty robust, but not intolerable (used to work in Seattle and Houston). Hot in the summer? Try high 90*s and 100*s for three months straight last summer in Kentucky.

We have had several major disasters in our area in the ten years we've lived here. Major hail storm (35K cars totaled), MANY tornados,(Dozens killed within 10 miles), Ice storm that took out power and phones for two weeks or more, earthquakes (we live on the New Madrid fault, historically the most dangerous in the US, and a crime rate higher than Tampa!

With that said, Paducah is much friendlier and laid back, but NO PLACE is perfect! Count your blessings, as I came from out West where problems were MUCH worse!

I look forward to Spring Hill!
