Of course they exist.

They exist and are even real if Truth refuses to grant her stamp
needless to say some try to claim they don't exist, those mostly are insurance types handling money, but, they exist as geologic entities.
are they insurable; that is the question?

I've lived here with my family and have young children going on 2 years now. Spring Hill has its good areas and bad areas but you can tell the difference Between the two by seeing if a neighborhood has a majority of renters or homeowners. I guess if your into the party scene you are going to see that in any area. I can't say anything bad about spring Hill. The schools are great, homes are beautiful and affordable and there is access to the beaches. Most walks of life that are coming recently are hardworking families and homeowners. When all the foreclosures hit the area there were a lot of empty homes that renters occupied and made neighborhoods look bad but like I said its much different now that people are buying these homes to live in. Don't listen to the negative people on hear that are unhappy with themselves and take my word. Spring Hill is a quiet nice place to live.
The schools are not "great" they're ranked 64 out of the 67 counties in FL.

And when you say "access to beaches", the decent beaches are 40 miles away.

And there are more and more renters.

What happened to u? Did you leave spring hill?

[QUOTE who="Spring Hiller".
I've lived here a long time, and want out, as quickly as possible. The drug problems here are outrageous, with grow houses, meth labs. and plenty of crime. Y

Good Luck........[/QUOTE]

Exactly. And no it isn't this way in everytown, USA. My family in NC isn't living among the trash that now lives in Spring Hill.
I was talking to a young guy who works as a cook in a local restaurant, nice enough kid, but he told me if I lose my job I will do something illegal to make money.
There is house on SHD, I will get the address I'm sure is a drug house. You have guys in baggy pants and dreadlocks outside on cell phones.
Quite a change from years ago.
They will rent to anyone here.
As I said earlier, you're not seeing middle class whites and blacks moving in, you're getting the lowlifes.
I don't like being in close proximity to them.
could I please get your email info, I'd like to talk to you and ask some things I'd rather not say on here. Please leave contact info.

After reading so many negatives of SH I would never move there even though I'm sure there are still some very nice areas yet I feel it's almost like a cancer, healthy areas that just haven't been infected........yet! That's too much risk to take & after re-thinking the whole process of living in FL we've decided against it since I could never tolerate oppressive heat & humidity, flying cockroahes, mold, love bugs, etc, but I thank you all for giving me so much info.

I read the archives here a little and find the folks who posted a whole bunch of negative stuff were not being very truthful. But, if you could not tolerate heat, humidity, flying bugs, etc., FL is not the place for you.

Question? Out of the approximate "94,000" residents of Spring Hill, how many are actually posting on this topic? I'm positive the majority are not represented here.

I've only been on this website for a couple of weeks and it is as dead as a doornail here. I know there are a lot of older computer users in SH but I don't see why there isn't a public chatter forum for the area.

Spring Hill has some areas that are truly ghetto but there are areas that are nice, well kept and attractive. I love living in Spring Hill . We have golf courses, swimming pools, nice shopping and plenty of service providers. The restaurants are varied and many. There is always something to do if you want activity. It is true that the housing market has tanked but that means tremendous opportunity for people wanting to purchase more bang for their buck. Hot? Florida is tropical! Of course it it hot in the summer, but I have been working in Chicago and it has been hotter here then in Florida. I love the Fall, winter and spring in Florida . Nothing beats the life style of being laid back and enjoying the tropical piece of paradise:-)

OK, I'm new on Topix, and haven't found info on Weeki Wachee, other than what was said on this thread. IE: Population of 9.... Like Amber said, put in the zip code, and you get Spring Hill, sometimes Brooksville. The property I'm interested in is 10 acres on Sanders Ave.. Is that really Weeki Wachee, because on the map, it looks like something else. I don't think it's my great age that has me dazed and confused...... it's just there's nothing to be found about Weeki Wachee..... IS THERE NOTHING THERE? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
