SCUM BREEDER SELLING SICK PUPPIES!!!!
Blairs Toy Schnauzers is a LIAR and an Animal Abuser. The owner is EXTREMELY rude and she does sell SICK puppies. The puppy I got from her last year 2011 was sick beyond belief with gerardia. My poor puppy was hitting walls all the way across the room with her loose stools. My vet said she had been sick for quite some time before I received her. She kept refusing to let me see the parents of my puppy or the kennels. I could hear 100 dogs barking and crying. My puppy smelled like urine and was under weight. This lady has WAY TOO MANY DOGS AND PUPPIES. Blairs Toy Schnauzers is a text book example of a puppy mill. I had nothing but problems with this breeder and my dog.
I took my puppy only to free it from the hell hole it had to live in.

I know that she switches puppies from one mom and dad with a different mom and they get papers under that mom not the real one...her pedigrees are a lie and she does lots of inbreeding. I spoke with many other breeders who have known of Blairs Kennel for many years. They told me how she operates but it was too late. I already had fallen in love with my little puppy.

Please don't purchase a dog from Blairs Toy Schnauzers. We did, and it was a terrible mistake.

If someone has a problem with a puppy or feels it was not raised in a proper environment then do not purchase the puppy..Maybe that is why most breeders will NOT show you a puppy if you just appear on their doorstep or ask to look at one and then want to see a different one? Bathing a puppy too frequently can dry their hair and skin. Certainly you want them to smell sweet so if you are asking to see puppies please do what is right and let the breeder know ahead of time. That is just common courtesy..Puppies are raised in their home as part of the family, not in a puppy mill that sends puppies to pet stores and can tell you nothing at all about how the puppy was raised..Don't be so quick to assume...

I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, IF YOU DO NOT CONTACT THE BREEDER (OR HER VET) THEN NO ONE KNOWS YOU HAVE A PROBLEM AND POSTING IT WITHOUT HAVING THE COURTESY OF YOUR NAME AS WELL IS COWARDLY. FLORIDA IS THE ONLY STATE THAT REQUIRES EVERY SINGLE PUP SOLD BE VET CHECKED AND DEEMED HEALTHY OR THEY DO NOT GET A HEALTH CERTIFICATE.
AS TO SAVING A PUPPY FROM A HELL HOLE? YOU ARE CLUELESS..HAVE I OWNED 100 DOGS IN MY LIFETIME..POSSIBLY...BUT TO SAY I HAVE THAT MANY NOW IS RIDICULOUS. PASCO COUNTY ALLOWS ME TO HAVE AS MANY AS 50 BUT I DO NOT HAVE THAT MANY..NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL..SO IF YOU REALLY WANT TO TALK ABOUT ALL THIS POST YOUR NAME AND NOT TRUMPED UP ACCUSATIONS THAT ARE BASED ON NOTHING BUT LIES
SWITCHING PUPPIES? NEVER...DO A DNA ON YOUR DOGS..IT WILL SHOW THAT THE PARENTS LISTED ARE THE REAL PARENTS..I HAVE NEVER SWITCHED A PUPPY AND NEVER WILL...WHAT AN ABSURD ACCUSATION..SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE A BREEDER WHO MAY HAVE DONE THAT BUT I NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL...So who are you really?

Are people not allowed to move to different states for career opportunities? This isn't about where I live, it's about a dog that obviously has some issues and was not properly taken care of and loved for the first 3 months of his life.
AND WHO SAYS THIS PUPPY WAS NOT TAKEN CARE OF FOR THE THREE MONTHS PRIOR TO YOUR BUYING HIM? WHY DID YOU NOT PURCHASE HIM AT 8 WEEKS? EVERY PUPPY SOLD IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A HEALTH CERTIFICATE SHOWING A PHYSICAL EXAM WAS DONE, FECAL, SHOTS AND OUR VET CHECKS TEMP, HEART RATE, CHECKS FOR LUXATING PATELLA, EAR MITES..ETC..HE IS VERY THOROUGH WHICH IS MORE THAN I CAN SAY FOR OTHER VETS USED IN THE PAST. AS TO THE HAIRCUT? YOU ARE SO WRONG ON THAT. IF YOU WAIT TIL AFTER A PUPPY IS 8 WEEKS OLD FOR THAT FIRST HAIRCUT THEY WILL BE TERRIFIED. THEY NEED TO BE INTRODUCED TO BEING HANDLED ON THE GROOMING TABLE, BRUSHED, NAILS DONE AND YES, A FIRST GROOMING SHOULD BE DONE UNLESS THE CUSTOMER SPECIFICALLY REQUESTS OTHERWISE..I wonder if you should have purchased something other than a Schnauzer if you know so little about them.

I am sorry to see that your biz got mentioned in these ridiculous posts.

I would recommend that you have your customers come here and post abut their good experiences with your company. Hopefully that will show that there are a-holes out here in internet land.

Who are you people? you hide behind your emails rather than talk to someone direct...I have never had one single check mark from AKC who checks my home and my kennel yearly, as well as my paperwork..I do not push puppies on buyers like some breeders do..If you want to see the parents then you need to give me a days notice because dogs are dogs and they do not get daily baths..pardon me for wanting to show them to you clean and smelling good...I don't have to defend myself..my pups are loved and raised in my home, not in the kennel...and they all get vet checked before leaving..

I got a schnauzer from Amy Blair. I love her so much she is so smart and good natured. Unfortunately I experienced health issues with my dog since I got her to date I have spent over 4500. I can't say this is a bad breeder but I can say that she is rude and short and does lie. When I called her about the problems with my dog and asked her if she knew anything about these certain health issues she acted like she had never heard of my dogs problems. After months of doctors and keeping in touch with her one day she just suddenly knew exactly what I was talking about and then washed her hand of me and the dog. She hung up on me and didn't answer my phone calls let me go to voice mail. My dog is still 9 months later under doctors care and has just went through a liver biopsy after waiting 7 months for her alt count to go down enough to have the biopsy. She is very stong and has come through so far well but I still have more vet bills to come. Amy was so nice up until I had problem. If I had to do it all over again to get this same dog I would because she's my everything I just wish the breeder was concerned and willing to work with me on the vet bills but she made no offer to help and didn't seem to be concerned about a dog that she cared for up until she sold it. I believe this is not a true dog lover of she was she would have been concerned and honest about my issues when I called her from the start. X
My dog is extremely resilent. She plays hard and is very tough and I know when all her issues are taken care of whether it is genetics or act of g-d she's a good dog and has a great temperament unlike her breeder who proved to be unconcerned and never called after are last conversation to even see if my dog was ok. The sad part is I believed Amy and her husband to be so much kinder prior to health issues and felt they could have if not helped with the vet bill at least been kind and concerned not sort and rude. The breeders final words to me was to put my dog on a plane and return her and she would send me another one when she got mine back. Yah right like that would happen she knew I loved this dog sooooooo much.

This is the only way to see if a business is worthy by talking about it. If it is not they will clean up their act or get out of business. This prevents others from falling into the trap and passing the problem to someone else.

I purchased my puppy in March of 2011 from Amy Blair. My dog is healthy, well adjusted and smart. This was my first time in raising a puppy. I called Amy 3 to 4 times with questions. She answered right away or called me back the same day. She is a loving breeder with a lot of experience. I would recommend her to anyone.

I have purchased 3 dogs from Amy Blair and taken one back to have bred which gave me 2 beautiful puppies. Each dog has been extremely healthy and Amy has been nothing but polite and extremely easy to work with. I would encourage you people who are trying to cause trouble and tell such false allegations against Amy to focus on your own life and business. Blair's Toy Schnauzers business has been thriving for 25 years and never one check or mark from AKC or others. This is fine reputable business with honest, hard working owners who love each and every dog they have. I would recommend Blair's Toy Schnauzers to anyone and have in the past with extremely pleased results. Honesty goes a long way and jealousy and deceit will only hurt you in the long run!!!

Signs of mistreatment wrote:
We purchased our male puppy, Louis, in April. He was fine with us when we went to pick him up, did not cry or growl or anything. When we asked to see the parents or another puppy, she was reluctant to allow us to see them. She said she could bring one of the other puppies out, and when she did he smelled so bad! Full of pee. I should have known from that moment but he was so cute I just wanted to take him home. When we got home, he would growl at anyone that came over our house, or whenever we took him out in public. I am under the impression that he was not treated right as a puppy, because he growls at almost everyone. Even friends who have been over numerous times a month. He was also groomed at an early age, which you should not do to a puppy because that will affect their coats when they are fully grown. I love my dog so much, I am glad I saved him from these people. They are not BBB accredited. I never read a review about them online, so I am writing one now. Beware! Research!
Wow! What a lot of rubbish. Blairs have provided breeders with these beautiful little creatures as breeding stock for decades for goodness sakes! Suddenly and because she is competition, some of them, the very same that have her dogs' bloodlines in their breeding program, turn on her in this despicable way; their mindless babble causing stress and problems for the gullible.

Not allowing people through your home or place of work at a moment's notice to humour a prospective buyer show strength NOT cowardice and determination.
I understand she's proud of her dogs and likes to present them at their best.
People should respect that they are going to her home not a public place.

How good is that! Someone has taken time out to post a positive comment. Now that wasn't difficult was it?
The more dogs I know, the less I like people.
Guys, these people being maligned have been supplying breeding stock to breeders of these sweet little Schnauzers for some 20 years!

They have been successful and someone doesn't like the competition, hence these rumours. The rest of you have followed their lead. You've been brainwashed!

Fact is puppies and dogs do get sick, which is why you should take out an insurance policy for your dog. If you cant afford it, you cant afford to take best care of your dog so don't buy a dog in the first place.
It is irresponsible, in my view, to do so.

Be realistic! The breeder can spend all day picking up after the puppies and still not be done.
If you call to report a problem with you dog and use an accusatory tone, the breeder is going to get defensive.
Perhaps you can take your dog to see your vet immediately you have possession of same and you would then be in a position to make a claim or not and perhaps let the breeder do what she loves doing.
In any case criticism is of no value unless it is constructive. Here's another tip! If you criticise ANY breeder's puppy, you can be certain the response will not be cheerful.

Be reasonable! Remember you are going into someone's HOME and not a place of BUSINESS.
If your request is for anything other than to see the puppy you've chosen, then let the breeder know beforehand so she can prepare to 'exhibit' them.

A breeder feels judgement when a new client comes in and she wants to show you he dog/s in the best possible light. If she doesn't have that pride in her dogs, I'd be looking somewhere else for my puppy.

This is the most important consideration! Parvo! She doesn't want you or anyone else dragging it off the street and into her home to kill her puppies.

People just 'get a grip' please. These accusations are unpleasant and serve no purpose for anyone. It is easy and nasty to make assumptions or assertions. It should leave the writer feeling hollow.

I just read on this site and agree that Amy and Bill are not what they pretend to be. I also got a tea cup from them and experienced health issues with my dog... When I called them to tell them about it they acted as if they didn't know anything about my dogs health issues. My dog had a high alt count that was 3 times what it should be....She was ill for a year and had many tests and 3 surgeries... this cost me over eleven thousand dollars and my dog still has health issues.... Bill and Amy avoided my calls when they finally talked to me they offered me a new dog like she was a dress I could exchange... no feelings involved no worry about the dog at all....Sad that they went from what seemed to be nice people to cold and nasty .... I love my little angel, but this breeder is not nice and could careless about her dogs once money is exchanged....Her dogs are ill....

Amy isn't the breeder you think she is. no one is allowed to see parents due to the bad shape their kept in.
