Most New Yorkers (people in Manhattan) ARE NOT EVEN FROM NEW YORK - They are Social Climbers who are from other states - The locals (Irish, Italians, Jews, Polish, Russians) etc, are much different.

Also - Manhattan people are generally obsessed with money and are snobs. It depends on who you are dealing with in NYC. People from Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, etc are different. But yes, it's a high strung environment with jerks everywhere.

And you people say New Yorkers are rude????? This country is made up of people from all walks of life and different countries. How can anyone think that you stay where you're born? If that were the case, there would be nothing but Native Americans on this land. Ignorance, it cracks me up. Yes, I'm a New Yorker, but I'm in no way "rude" and neither are our children. They have been raised to respect their elders and treat others in a way that they would like to be treated. If anyone is rude, it is you people who can't get along with others.
