Are these the same sinkholes as in summer? They were fixed a long time ago.
Yes. New signs for our newly named airport!

Holes, old, rediscussed in current Bay News
Would seem fix cost has doubled and repairs not yet done
and that are the printed facts presented for info purposes only and without secreted points
do 'U' approve of information supply or must there be a 'missive'

The sinkhole's from the storm Debbie, were suppose to cost $240,000 to repair, but now new estimates are at $540,000 double, needs grouting and lane will be closed for months. Thats the point the poster was trying to make.

Thanks for being understanding of another poster.

OK, so it is going to cost double. Who's at fault?
What is the point of the matter?
How about the fact that the airport is now under tower control, businesses are coming in, things are bright for the airport.
Yeah, too bad that they had the sinkhole thing, but it will be fixed and forgotten.
Oh, yeah, by the way. Western Hernando County is known to be part of the sinkhole alley that extends from just north of Hillsborough County and works its way up the coast. At one time in geological history Florida was the ocean floor. Water receded
and FL became dry.
However, those undersea caverns, mountains, spring fed rivers, ancient limestone deposits all are still there.
We decide to live on this geological nightmare so as much as those in California deal with earth-quakes and those in the mid west of the US who deal with tornadoes.
Pick your poison. I will take "sinkholes" over
tornadoes, earthquakes and other natural disasters
any day. I also prefer this area of FL over those
other places as well.

Come on, when was the last time you saw a catastrophic collapse in Hernando County? Them old runways were
built on sand. They need concrete base to put the tarmac over. Old WWII construction. Time to upgrade it anyway. That airport is going to be a big time servicing terminal in the not too distant future.
I wonder what happened to the hotel project on SHD
where the flea market has reopened.
