And yeah, the papers say 3 people were ejected, none wearing seatbelts. 2 were ejected, 2 were wearing seatbelts.

There has been alot of banter about teen driving. I would like to say for the record, that I would rather be in a car driven by a teen, than an elderly person. Look at the stats, elderly people think the road if for them alone. Making U turns in the middle of the street, running red lights, slamming into store fronts, cutting into traffic and 5 cars have to make dramtic moves to avoid them. If we are going to call a spade a spade, let us do it right. I have personally spoken to the FHP witness and she claim to have been 40 feet behind Ms LaBarr, yet she remembers a steady green light, but did not see the accident. With cars spinning and headlights going around and around, how could she miss all that and still remember a green light. Could she be remembering the reflection of the green light on Califoria Street. The police work was shotty at best, and assumptions were made by the FHP. My son is dead and nothing can change that. However, I wish someone would get to the bottom of this, after talking to all the major players at the accident, I have come to the conclusion that Ms LaBarr was the red light runner, and was dirctly responsible for the death of my son. Also, for the record, we knew where our son was. This happened a 850 at night, not 2 or 3 in the morning. So for those of you passing judgement on the raising of other peoples kids, you must feel guilty of the way you raised yours.

Vincent wrote: Raise the legal driving age to 18 and require potential new drivers to take a mandatory driver education class which includes both written and road testing. These kids are too young and inexperienced to be entrusted with 3000 pounds or more worth of automobile. And as an 18 year old ADULT, they are then held responsible for their actions as adults! ok lets say we do that, why dont we go ahead and also make the maximum driving age 60! how does that sounds there doin just as much harm as a 16yr old, and why wer at it lets go ahead and say that if you get into an accident you get your liscence permantently taken away! honestly people who drive from 16 -20 are prolly are least worry on the road! they dont drink or very few do so you dont got to worry as much about them drinkin and killin one of you sons or daughters!
