What do they think the residents are fools??? First report in another paper quoted by the "mayor" says its going up 50% or 30-40 per month. Now $15. Which is it or can't they do the math. Looks like They are sugar coating it until we get the bill

Afraid you're right. We are going to pay and pay to live in a crap town. They aren't making any money by bringing in business, they were on the right track..but the Good Ole Boys are back in and so the residents are going to suffer. Time to move out!!

Not only that, Concerned , in the paper a few days ago they NOW decide they want Lake Michigan water besides this huge water bill increase! Do they have any idea what it will cost each house to hook up?? Then the referendum for the roads that will raise the property taxes in March. Why didn't "Common Sense" campaign on this instead of bogus false promises like getting a Senior Bus (which there's 3 of them already) That's what you get for voting for uneducated, uninformed Good Ole boys.

What's the time frame for your bill? IE, 2 months, 6 months? And does that include sewer charges as well? Just trying to make a comparison to what I pay in Antioch.

That is really high. My bill in Antioch is generally right around $100 for 2 months of sewer and water. Trash is not included, that's Waste Management, which is $78 for 3 months.

Figure $75/month for me, vs $190/month for you. I'd be raising hell too!

We all will be raising hell, trust me! If we can get through to the mayor, hear he's passing the buck to a sewer/water employee to take the heat, not even the trustee that pushed this through. Dirty politicians!! Cowards!

They should all go to the Village Hall and raise hell. The local businesses will have to pass the increase on to someone. Mainly we..the people!

My Bill up about 35%.
How come we the public have to make more with less and not the city.
Don't get screwed this next time.
Vote No on March 18th for the Fox lake debt sale referendum.
They call it a referendum, but in fact it is a debt sale and it is not for $6 million it is $8 Million,(there is another general obligation bond for 2 million). All of this we pay interest on and will be paid for by a nice tax increase.
How many new trucks will be bought and what will the salary increases be for more debt?
In their own Q&A does it say how this debt will be paid for. http://www.foxlake.org/CivicAlerts.aspx...
They have to know.....because if you dont provide that information it will be near impossible to sell the bond because the bonds are backed up by future tax increases> What are they ? how much? on what?
When the city's own page does not tell you that, you know your about to get screwed.
Vote No on March 18th on the "I'm about to get screwed" Fox lake debt sale referendum.
