There are plenty of houses for sale in Gurnee. Bye bye.
Go away "Taragirl". Start your campaign on some other platform. You are not going to win with this one. Gurnee is a nice town with lot's of shopping. I am sure you will in no time find something to whine about there as well.

I can only hope that he is NOT in the military. What a sad commentary that would be.

It's the over building of Lake County that has destroyed what was once a beautiful county. My 15 minute drive to work is now over a half hour on a good day! I enjoy the fact that Antioch is still kind of rural and it is one of the few towns that actually has a downtown. To all who think Antioch doesn't have enough homes or businesses, then move to the city!

It sounds as tho you'd like to live in Gurnee. Or perhaps McHenry. Please move to there. I do NOT want an avalanche of big box retailers. I like living in a small town. Light industrial development on the outskirts would be nice for the tax base, but I think we have all the retail space we could possibly need.
I agree I love living in small town. That's what appealing to Antioch, that's why I moved here from DesPlaines.

"downtown businesses"? Still quite a few vacant stores.
What industrial park? That field down 173 that has a water tower that says "Industrial Park"?
Winery is gone. Didn't last long.
Um and where is this starbucks you speak of?
If you want to state facts, please make sure they are all facts.

There are very few vacant storefronts, it's busier uptown with more great stores than I can remember in a long time. I didn't notice the winery was gone, that's a shame.

As to Starbucks, who needs them? Love our Dunkin Donuts! Much better prices and options.

If you don't like it here, move. Simple enough.

Antioch is 100 X better than that garbage dump of a town to the south called Fox Lake ! Hillbilly Heaven is getting worse plus they want to raise all taxes!!

Antioch is better then Fox Lake for sure, but it is starting to slip a little. Either we are getting more drugs in town, or the police are just stepping it up. Probably a little bit of both.

We could really use some newer stores in town, and some other improvements for sure.

Fox Tucky is clearly the winner here!! At least Antioch and Lk Villa have fine leadership and is prosperous and growing. There's more to running a town than sitting in a bar!

Drugs and Alcohol abuse is not an antioch problem. Or a Fox Lake problem. Or a round Lake problem. Its a problem for all of us. If you dont think its a problem in your own town you have blinders on.

No no...I should have worded a few things better. I love it here. I don't want a starbucks but someone in earlier comments claimed there was one in town. Which there isn't, obviously lol.
