So basically what this judge is saying is that he's going to place this guy in the house "next door" to some unsuspecting citizen, and too bad for "Joe Citizen", because he's going to do this no matter what because "he's the judge". I'm sorry, but I don't want this guy moving in next door to me, and I'm sure no one else in this county wants him there either. Why doesn't he just place him in the Inn of California near Denny's off of 101 and Airport Blvd, in Salinas where he can be kept along with 42 other sexual affenders? OR even better, MOVE HIM IN WITH HIM!!!

Seriously Judge Curits, do you think the public will stand by quietly and watch this monster James Lamb who is ("and I quote") a SEXUALLY VIOLENT PREDATOR with over 70--SEVENTY!!!! molestations while you place him in our area... I don't think so... but feel free Judge to place him next door to you, or better yet rent him a room at your house!! OK!!! Good Luck!!!!

I wonder if there is a house in the Judges neighborhood available?
Wouldn't it be nice if this SOB Judge had Lamb for a neighbor?
Judge Curtis, you should be ashamed of yourself in your decision. Maybe the law says you have to do it a certain way but what about the moral laws of your own convictions. I might live in another state but, you can bet if I was there in Salinas you would hear my voice no matter what you say about being arrested. Why are you trying to force this "thing" upon good citizens who have not been convicted of anything except having to put up with your ranting statements. I really don't see any difference between you and Lamb.
Neither one of you is concerned for the safety of the children in Salinas and both should be ostacized to another place and time. Thanks for nothing.

There is a house available in Markham Ranch, it is Basil Mills vacant house!

Judge Curtis is now going down on the list of ill tempered Monterey County judges who are total control freaks. The rest of you know who you are. Half those judges don't belong on the bench for one reason or another and I can list quite a few reasons.

Oh, so sorry Judge Curtis, did you want this to be easy as pie, finding a house for a guy who violated and did incredible harm to a over 70 children?

Got any grandchildren? We can place him next door to them.

What we need is a Proposition on the ballot reversing this idiotic law that was voted for in the first place.

Judge Curtis has obviously lost his marbles. He is the only one in this county who wants to give lamb a big giant hug and go against just about everyone in Monterey County. When did he designate himself as King, Lord, God of Monterey County? He cannot take away free speech and we will continue to voice our discontent loudly and clearly. he obviously does not have the public nor Lamb's best interest in mind. Throwing him into a community could be like throwing him to the lions and then it will be over. He is better off staying where he is.

Judge Curtis should let him move in with him. He could even give him a job as his pool boy.

I'm not sure if anyone saw this one from last month???? What the hell is Judge Curtis... the head of the "CHAPTER OF PEDOPHILE FOR MONTEREY COUNTY" ???????? Wake the hell up Curtis!!!

Little Leaguer betrayed
If releasing Lamb was Curtis' most difficult call, he doesn't seem to have been too troubled over pedophile little league coach David Martin last month. Martin, 43, stole the innocence of an eight year-old baseball player, sexually assaulting her on seven to nine occasions, reports the Californian. Prosecutors asked for eight years in prison, but Martin told Curtis, "As God is my witness, these actions will never, ever, ever happen again." Curtis sentenced the predator coach to probation.

"I don't know what I'm going to tell the kids," said the little girl's father afterwards

"Central Coast legislators this month offered little guidance to Curtis. State Senators Jeff Denham and Abel Maldonado said they would prefer Lamb be permanently incarcerated.

"It is unfortunate that these animals ever get out of prison," Denham said. "If I had my way, they would never get out."

Yeah, the 8th Amendment, Double Jeopardy, Due Process, etc are just s-o-o inconvenient, aren't they? Why don't we just SCRAP THE CONSTITUTION entirely, Mr Legislator? Or do you choose to ignore that you are supposed to represent ALL your constituents, not just the vigilante and harassment mentality you so obviously ARE encouraging, despite your denial. Yours is an all-too-common knee-jerk response, with no shred of wisdom.

It's time to stop these witchhunts. Kudos to Judge Curtis for upholding THE LAW!

I feel sorry for Judge Curtis. He is in a difficult position. He is charged with following the law and the law states that Mr. Lamb be released and housed appropriately. Judges are sworn to follow the law, not make it. It is up to our legislators to make law. It is their job to figure this out, not the Judges. Most of the comments posted are not helpful, but I can understand their opinion that Mr. Lamb would not be welcome in their neighborhood. I do take issue with Judge Curtis for one thing. I believe that he must inform the public when a new site is found and allow a public comment period.

in my eyes, Lamb gave up his " rights " when he deliberatley " wronged " all those innocent children. come on Anna, defending the gay " rights " of individuals and lending your name and what ever other means of support you give to their organization, is something altogether different. but if you want to hold hands with another group of dedicated people, join jeff, abel, and thousands more of " us " to keep " them " (r.s.o.) in check. create a community of their own, so when the " urge " returns , and it will! then the only ones they can harm, will be " them " selves.

the law has many different interpretations. and in this case (child molestation) the rules need to be amended. no ones ousting the constitution! could it be perhaps you feel threatened for one or more guilty thoughts/reasons or another?

I would rather have a "child molester" in the neighborhood, than a "Mexican Terrorist Gang Banger" who will kill for advancement in the Gang. Think about it!

How is that better? Everyone suffers equally just for different reasons. Would you feel the same if the child molester was Mexican?

You people are all really ignorant. Lamb has served his time, he has voluntarily been castrated. If all of you so-called parents are so worried why don't you just pay better attention to where your kids are and what they are doing. I'd be more worried about the unknown sexual predators that are running around, then the known that you can keep your kids away from. Yes I'm a parent and no my daughter was never sexually molested because I kept track of her, ie. I did my job. Maybe people should stop breeding to the point where they have too many kids to keep track of. Idiots.

Why don't you offer to take him in then and save everyone some time. I'm sure your neighbors will welcome him with open arms.

I can't take him in, I live in a one bedroom apt with my husband, unlike some people we live within our means. But as far as him living in the apt next door, no problem. I WAS a victim of sexual abuse as a child and if my parents had kept better track of me, it never would've happened. What's so mean about saying parents should watch their kids better? I think you guys are the mean ones. This guy has served his time and been castrated. Worry about the ones lurking in society who don't have labels on them. ie., Take care of your kids. No one else is gonna do it for you.
