CHP seeks drivers in fatal hit-and-run that killed Seaside transient

The California Highway Patrol says it's seeking an unknown number of motorists whose vehicles struck a Seaside transient Thursday night in a fatal case of hit-and-run. The CHP said 50-year-old David Armstrong was walking on the far-right, northbound lane of Highway 1, just north of Lightfighter Drive.

I wonder if this was the same guy I saw pushing a shopping cart that same afternoon around 430pm, on the same stretch of road.
The freeway really could use some lights there. I was just leaving CSUMB at the time of the accident & would have hit the body as well, had I not been in the #1 lane.
