I know we aren't SUPPOSED to believe its the dog...but I've always heard really bad stories about these dogs. More recently my Aunt had a pug and The pitbull that lived next door to her jumped the fence and kill the pug in like two minutes. Sometimes I don't think its the owners
...maybe pitbulls are just bad dogs...

<quoted text>I agree. You do not stare into the eyes of a dog. It CAN provoke them especially an alpha make. However that is NOT what I said to you. I asked you if you see irony in your username "your stupid"? I see the irony.

Well I am a delightful dish. Just wish I could run a little faster that's all. Haha. And besides. I don't blame the Pitbull. I'm sure his owners were jerks and raised him that way.

<quoted text>My boxer doesn't bite my nose off and eat it when I look at her in the eyes. That's sad a dog would feel threatened just by a child looking at it. I don't know if its the owners fault for not raising it right or it's just the dog. Don't know the full story.
I didn't say LOOKING into its eyes. I said giving it a stare down. Go get in your boxers face and stare directly into its eyes and watch he/her get fidgety and uncomfortable. It's just an animals nature. Period.

If I were a pitbull, and I bit off a boy's nose, I would hesitate to eat it, for fear that it might be full of snot.

I am an owner of a beautiful sweet pit bull... However before I decided to get her done some research on the breed...good and bad stories. She is a wonderful pet great around my kids and other animals (cat and small dog)... They are wonderful dogs it's all in how they are raised.

That is the story one always hears after they maul some poor child. "It was such a sweet loving dog, until it bit the little girls face off. " On another thread, i went into detail about happened to my little sister, and the girl in kindergarten that was killed by the same Rott. I knew that dog, belonged to the people next door. It was the sweetest dog, until it did that. Some ass said my sis may have provoked the dog. She was playing with dolls in a sand pile, didnt see it until it was on her. The dog was well raised. A week later it killed a five year old little girl. My father killed the dog, when it came after him. I wish i could have skinned it alive, or made the owner kill it. It was checked after it was killed, no rabies, or anything. Dogs bred to fight and kill, fight and kill, just as herding dogs herd, or hounds sniff trails.

actually I am. My first post says enough. I own 2 wonderful pits. Like I said it could easily been a little beagle bite someones face off but we would never hear about that story because they only want to make pits seem like horrible dogs! There is always hidden info to every story. Those people could have been raising the pit to fight like I said earlier. It's not the breed! I'll always believe that. It is how they are raised. Stop blaming that one breed & people need to take some responsibility. Like I have already said.

its a shame how many people speculate whats the trueth in the matter the news has really no truth to this accident to both familys.just because of a breed (pitbull)and how you people bashing the owners even the parents to the younge boy,did anyone considered the feeling, emotions,of the owners of the dogs and for the child NO,this was not an ATTACK it was a play that went wronge anyone really knows about pitbulls knows if it was and ATTAck it would be alot worst than what it is and if you have seen the dog you of talked other wise cause he was a big dog and he was a very loving pet always been around kids very gentle these dogs dont know the type of power they have they could run to you and knock you down cause thats the strenght they have and its the same way with there jaw all dogs any kind of breed could of done the same thing but its a shame that this breed get so much backlash an its alot of ignorance of people read up on the bread they where not to be FIGHTING dogs they where raised to be nannys, and many other things!ITS THOSE PEOPLE THAT AT FAULT THAT THEY USED THE DOGS FOR FIGHTING TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF THEM THERES ALL KIND OF ANIMAL FIGHTS NOT JUST PITS!!!i wish people had more commensense before they speak or asume get your infor straight before you pass judgement !!!!

As much as it pains me to agree with Liberal, it is the breed. Do the research. You said the key word, the difference between Pitts, Rotts, and other breeds. "Bites". Many breeds bite. Pits are on top of the list for mauling and killing, not biting. Not all Pits do that. Hope that your dogs never do. I would not want the blood of a child on your hands over your choice of dogs. Would not wish that on anyone.

This was not some ATTACK. People speaking before knowing truths sickens me the.judgment passed for a play between pet and child gets placed as owner fault and aggression. It was accident nothing more and everyone wants to.pass judgement. Have respect.for the.families involved if you people.want to pass judgement.on others look.in mirror before judging others on this situation. If this had not been a pit no one would be having as much to say. Passing judgment on others be it person or pet is showing your own ignorance. In stead of judging why not pray or those truly involved instead of gossiping about something most all of you don't know truth of situation truth that reporters havent stated.

Your research is flawed and skewed. I would love you to play with my pit and when play time was over I would put her out side and I would Maul your ass.

oh so if your in a car wreck and it.kills.someone it isn't an accident. I personally know both families and it was an accident. Choose to believe what you will but accidents happen and this was the result.of one and it wasn't actually bitten off. I should know I know all.parties involved and this was AN ACCIDENT that truth will.com e out. News is portraying this as much more than it is and they aren't reporting all the story. I've known both families for years now I knew the dog this was NO ATTACK as so many of you want to judge it as. So get some sense. Before passing this judgment of the owners and the boys family just know your not only hurting the boy but his friends that owned and loved their family pet. There are children hurt over this and peoples negativity not only are you victimizing the.boy but other children involved in this so y don't all.of u negative people think twice about all parties involved and who else u may be hurting or even hurting the boy more. He.loved this dog also ever think of that. Grow up.people. all either family needs or wants is for.people.to stop spreading rumors and just pray for both families.
