Eight people died and several injuries were reported in Virginia bringing the number of dead to nearly 200 killed by tornadoes in five states Wednesday in storms that swept across the south.

Where exactly is Mineral VA? I'm not real sure, I'm in Abingdon about 10 miles from Glade Springs and the destruction there is horrible. The death toll could have been much higher, but somehow although there was a lot of damage there were not many lives lost.

Talked to a trucker and he said that he lost 6 co workers last night. This weather is crazy and I am afraid that this is just the beginning of crazy natural disasters in the US.

There were reports of 7 people dead earlier today, there are still several people missing....the report then changed to only 4 confirmed dead. We won't know the total until everybody that is missing is accounted for or found...He may very well be telling the truth....Anyway, 1 life lost is 1 too many....I sure hope "hhaha" is just your screen name, because I see absolutely no humor in this situation.
