That's great, yet there are people with convictions for DUI, suspended license, yet still aer allowed to drive with a breath analyzer. What's the point of convictions and this new Washington DUI blood draw law, when drunks can still go out there and drive?

This one appears to be unconstitutional if you ask me. If they have such a strong suspicion they can always arrest and/or detain the individual. The problem is they know they could not do that so easy and therefore this perversion of due process. This is the same as a cop stopping you in the middle of the night and just feel like searching your car.

This is only going to lead to MORE police abuse against people they do not suspect as drunk drivers at all, but are merely trying to pin something on whoever to get more leveerage to abuse power. If someone is drunk you do not need a blood test for that. The laws are on the books and don't tell me this will work out well. Imagine being stopped at 2 in the night, a little blood shot eyes (after all it is the night), having a car the police doesn't like or just being an a-ss.
For this the police can no hold you up for hours after hours. I can imagine that "medical professional" coming and drawing blood within short notice- NOT!!

Finally, spare me the "it's for the children" or "we don't want drunk drivers around". If police is so incompetent that they cannot handle this without bypassing the intents of the law, just another nail in the coffin for those of us who value fredom. When is the government going to stop making laws that affect everybody just because of a tiny minority?!

Do nothing and evedrything will be OK (as always)
