Every time I shop at walmart I have to return something and the return line is a mile long. hmmmm.I am amazed that you make 12 an hour. Also I just watched a movie about walmart and I was so sick I could puke. How they make thier products and telling thier workers to apply for state asistance. Chinese workers make $3 a day in sweatshops making stuff that cost 18 cents and selling it over her fo 14.95. There is alot of issues about walmart that everybody should know. I recomend researching or watching that movie ( ) before ever shopping there again.

I'm a walmart employee, and its halarious that people just make a big deal over nothing. Sure watch a stupid movie that is spread like a rumor coming from a 12 year old little girls mouth. I know that walmart is money driven, and like alot of business owners, the owners of walmart is strictly profit driven. And China is it's own country, with different situations with money, and they're making money from walmart by us getting items from them. Not all these items are from china, lol, we carry what alot of other stores do. But people are so involved in bashing people and things that they don't realy know anything about because they are obviously bored and need a life.
I don't care how much i make. I have done the door greeter thing, and that is complete misery. You stand there, saying hi to rude people that just walk off making fun of you and laughing. Some people say "hey i want your job" no .. actually you really don't. I think they should boycott that position. I also am not against walmart, but i paticularly don't like the 'higher ups' lack of knowledge and when you apply for a position and door greeting is nowhere stated in anything that i have signed or was aware that i should be doing but apparently it's just another thing that we have to jump around and do and i dont see how any door greeter has the time to talk to everyone seeing how they have to label all the returns and say hi to every single person whether you get pooped on or not, and with a smiling pleasant face.. you know, places would be great but the people is your main problem, but if people had a different change of attitude it would be a pleasant experiance. It's the people not the building.
But go on, spread some more rumors about walmart that are false because you're all drama deprived and desperate to be heard! You go!

Well to tell you the truth, Airway Heights needs that Walmart is helping not hurting. P.S The Yokes area of Airway is what you should be concerned about. My friend got mugged in the middle of the day, near the school.

How's the weather up there? I was at Fairchild AFB back in 92-94. I am from Missouri where I reside now. I often think of Spokane. You guys live in a great part of the country and most likely don't even realize it. As far as Walmart. When I was there I couldn't tell you where the closest Walmart even was. As far as I know there was not one within a 200 mile radius. But if memory serves me right Airways heights wasn't much to look at back then. Hey, does anyone know Crytal Carrico? she was from Deer Run or Deer Creek something like that. I used to date her.
You are probably thinking of "Deer Park" just north of Spokane.

Holy shyte. Do you people have nothing else to talk about besided the big conglomerate that is constantly robbing people. Seriously, 12.55 an hour guy is a manager, and they only pay there new employees a little over minimum wage. Besides that fact that minimum wage is almost slavery, you idiots are supporting a company who's idea of saving you guys money, is having 3 to 10 year old chinese minors getting paid for pennies an hour making stuff for your precious Wal-Mart. Not to mention the people who own Wal-Mart are filthy rich, and have not only been accused, but caught stealing money from their employees. Wal-Mart also takes business away from smaller privatley owned companies forcing them out of business, and go look for a job elswhere. Wal-Mart is an evil corporation. I, for one, am not shopping there as long as there is air in my lungs.

Airway Heights has come a long way over the last 10 years. In many aspects it's nicer than some Spokane areas. The new buildings going up all around are enhancing it even more as are the new housing developments. I love the new Inland Northwest Bank off of Garfield and Hwy 2. Some of our friends held a reception in their great community room and it was Free! We chose to bank there and haven't regretted it one minute. The buidling is beautiful and has really added some class to the area. Thank you INB for caring about our community!

There is nothing else in Airway than the wal mart, Eyesore huh, atleast it has a sidewalk, mowed grass, grass, and actual right turn lanes unlike the village of Airway.. Gotta watch when checking out though..everytime more than marked,, use photoghraphic memorey or bring black pen and mark all items not to get jacked..

I live in Airway Heights and I believe it is rather lovely. The wal mart that is here though is one of the worst. The greeters are worried more about talking to their coworkers then doing thier job. No one smiles and no is courtoius. At all.
I am sorry you didn't go there when Ms Clara is working. She greets everyone coming and going out of that store.

I work there, and I hate it... If I didnít have kids to feed I would go back to school and get a better job. YES people who work there are for the most part rude and uncaring. You should see what we are forced to put up with from RUDE customers, annoying coworkers and crappy management! You want to see people who don't care look to Wal-Mart managers! but letís face it Wal-Mart is bottom of the barrel for people who A: can't afford better or B: canít get jobs anywhere else! The best part is whoever sticks around the longest the ones not smart enough or with it enough to move on to bigger and better things are the ones who run the show. Thank them for us being out of stock on EVERYTHING! Because cashiers like me can't order a damn thing but we are the ones who get told off by customers for not having things in stock and when we tell managers about it they roll their eyes as they head out to chat with their buddies and smoke their 100th cigarette of the day!!!

As for me I have only been here 3 months and am looking for another job now... interview Thursday fingers crossed!I am one of the people who do smile at you all even when you call me names and chew me out for being out of stock then go home and take care of my children just like you do. I don't do anything wrong to deserve the treatment I get from half the people who shop there. I do have some wonderful customers who I will miss when I leave soon but most of you take things out on the wrong people who are just trying to make it through another day. A good percentage of the people who work there are also married to the miltary as I am and have a ton on our plate and evil rude people being hateful doesn't help or fix anything!

I say if you hate the store TELL MANAGEMENT! Go to the top management like the store manager or the division manager... their phone numbers are listed on most cash registers and on every bathroom wall on 10X13 white sheets of paper that say if this restroom is not to you're liking please call Laurie (Store Manager) or Kyle (Division Manager) at these numbers. Because bitching online isnít going to help you do anything but vent as I am doing now!

good luck to all of you,
another one of the drones (for now)

As far as Airway Heights being undesirable as some of you have inferred.....have you checked out the West Central Neighborhood or Hillyard in Spokane? Or the bus plaza in Spokane where all the wierdo's hang out? I'm a Vietnam Veteran and Spokane gives ME the creeps!
Hi...hold onto to shorts....I'm at the plaza everyday...and have NOT run into any need to take a real long look in the mirror....just sayin!

wallmart sucks in Airway Heights. Management is poor, staff is poor. they evn do not stock sheleves like they should, had to complain three tims about a certain brand I buy every month, with it being gone. Stock your store better or I will end up shopping somewhere else, I Will take the extra 15 minute drive and go somewhere that stocks shelves.
