Yo, Crotchety,
The only reason this crime was solved at all is because that girl came forward about the gun. Don't you see the moral of the story here? IF more of your peeps snitched, THEN more of the murders in The Roc would be solved. End of story.
After watching the show and seeing how the RPD disclose the snitch, I doubt they are going to see many more snitch.

And the moral of the story is that if the rpd wants to solve a crime they need someone else to hand it to them.

And it doesn't seem that this case is that solid and I bet one or even the 2 get off. They are all druggies, how are we to believe them?? How do we know the black girl didn't do it on her own and throw the gun away??

Seeing your the big TV guy nickbo, tell us does this show called "First 48" do a lot of shows where it takes over a year to solve??
Seems to me if the RPD investigators in this case want to be on the show they should have only got paid for 2 days pay, instead of the whole year.
UHHh... Yes it does. I've seen episodes that are still unsolved. It is not about case closure. It is about how a case is investigated. About how investigations work and are handled. If they only showed cases solved it would be unrealistic. Plus, how during their stay for filming are they supposed to know what cases are going to be solved and which are not???? Are they supposed to throw away all their work because in the end the case did not get solved before the end of shooting????

If the show did tell the tale of a black city murder, Rhonda would cry how they are racist still. We can all picture it now. Her ranting on Topix about how they are out to paint blacks in Rochester as gangbanging thugs. How they should show white people.

It is in refernce to the idea that the first 48 hours after a homicide is the most crucial time to be investigating a homicide. That is all. Nothing else.

I believe it refers to how long they have to complete their investigation, and arrest the perp(s). If they miss the two day window, the perp goes free. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

They know the black guys will rollover on each other, so the formula usually works.

Well it seems to me after watching the show, that the most crucial moment was A YEAR LATER when the black girl told them where the gun was. So, maybe they should change the name of the show to "A Year Later"??

The shows producers are a bunch of criminals and the RPD shouldn't be working with them.

What makes the shows producer a criminal?????
Well lets see: If she plead guilty and was sentenced to 24 months probation, up to 200 hours community service and fined $2000,
well I guess that would make her a criminal.

The show has proven that it interferes with criminal cases, yet the RPD still does business with them.

Well, just read the newspaper everyday and watch the news. Shootings, shootings, shootings. Loveley won't do shit. Johnson didn't do shit. Nor did Richardson.

We should bring Gary Senise to Rochester for a new show called "CSI: Rochester"
