With the Roc City Rib Fest quickly approaching, RTS customers are reminded about changes in the route to Charlotte.

The #1 Lake buses to Charlotte or to Kodak will drop customers off at the Kodak-Eastman Loop, where they will get off the bus and transfer to another. That bus will take them the rest of the way north on Lake.

RGRTA says no buses will be able to serve the Port of Rochester. Customers need to get on buses along Lake Avenue.

These changes run Friday through Monday night.

Interesting!
What?!? Does this mean that the city leaders finally figured out what demographic rides RTS (Ribfest Thug Shuttle)? Wow. Now we can only hope they're too lazy to walk the rest of the way. Ribfest has a glimmer of hope!

what would work also is if police set up road blocks and perimeters around possible entry ways looking for suspicious characters and people who don't belong who are walking into the even from RTS busses.

Did you read the story? All RTS did was split the route in two because of traffic between Ridge Rd. and Charlotte.
Looking for something that isn't there...

No buses will serve the port of Rochester. They're stopping right near the parkway. Inside info. Just saying

Btw holy sepulchre cemetery falls in the Charlotte zip code too. Anyways I said the buses weren't going to stop at the Port of Rochester, not Charlotte.

Lol true. And there's a slight uphill bridge crossing right before the beach, going over the train tracks. Maybe the city leaders realized that.

So is Dewey and Latta but we know that's not in Charlotte either. So let me try to following your logic(hysteria). The Ontario Pkwy is to far to walk to the Rib Fest/Port. But Hamilton St. isn't to far to walk to Highland Park???? Especially South Ave/Mt Hope being all uphill from Gregory St to the Park.

<quoted text>I think by moving the bus stops further away it should help to discourage the super lazy ones from walking that far, and therefore might help to reduce the violence. But as proven by the lilac fest, even cockroaches can crawl quite a distance, so NO, I don't think the move is drastic enough. But I applaud the city leaders for at least attempting something different.
It has nothing to do with reducing violence but, all to do with traffic congestion and logistics.

Yeah right genius. Kill buses to the beach to ease congestion. Wouldn't that encourage more cars to drive there?

Oh brother. Here you go trying to spin things. Of course it has EVERYTHING to do with reducing violence. If the little brats can't take the bus to the exact location where they are planning on brawling, then it will be much more difficult for them to walk with their pants falling to their knees. It's hard to walk like that.

Seriously! Try it! They have to walk all bull-legged it truly makes them look ridiculous. I think they want to be persecuted so they behave in a manner in which they make others able to easily mock them. Then they play the "card" and act like normally dressed people despise them because of the color of their skin. I despise them because they are ignorant fools. It's a no-brainer.

Makes you wonder. What type of culture or people find anything appealing about big fat skanky @sses hanging out of pants that are way overdue for a good washing?
