Plans to dredge Port of Rochester plow forward
The Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bids from contractors to dredge the Port of Rochester this year, a step forward for a project that U.S. Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-Fairport, said could happen as early as May. The work, which Slaughter helped to arrange, would remove about 100,000 cubic yards of built-up sediment from the harbor.
