NO, and before you tell me Danny has insurance, that's insurance that Danny paid for.
The driver doesn't have anything invested in his part, other than collecting a check. Which I am sure that his check wouldn't even be docked for his mistake that cost the company thousands of dollars.
And if it turns out that this driver is at fault because he was HIGH while he was driving, Danny couldn't even fire this driver.
Because the union agreement requires that the driver be given an oral warning the first time, a written warning for the second time time, and then he MIGHT be able to fire him on the third! Long after this guy cost Danny a ton of money.
No matter how YOU spin it, Danny is still taking all the risks, while all these union guys do is collect the check.
no actually the company random drug tests drivers. The company has fired drivers for popping on a test, and actually the company not the union has rehabbed drivers instead of firing.

You missed the point.

It's all Danny's money driving this train, and you want more without sharing the risk.

If teamsters are the best at what they do, they should all be smart enough to start their own companies.
Once one does, he can hire all his brothers at a decent wage.

Really? You actually said:"my elitist friend" ...
Isn't that STRAIGHT out of the communist propaganda play book?

Isn't that a classic Carl Marx line?!?

"I still have bills to pay just as he does" Actually, no ... the owner doesn't have bills to pay just like you do.
The owner is MIRED in debt because of the union contracts and deals he made while he was in business are still binding.

The owner will have to declare bankruptcy to get out from under those deals, while all you have to do is move to non union territory, and start a union.

Again, you don't have any skin in the game.

If you're so worried about the elitist taking from the working man, why aren't you going after the folks at ESL???

They have a whole thread complaining about the working conditions.

I think those working class folks need you more than wegmans does.

Another example of how Wegmans takes care of their workers, and yet the teamsters want more!

I wonder how much Danny pays out to rehabilitate these druggie drivers?

Not satisfied with Danny's generosity, I can see now how your only option is to strike.

They think Wegmans is screwing the Truck driver while the Union Leaders are really screwing the truck drivers.

I wonder if they ever wash that big rat suit that they use to protest with?

They need a bunch more of those suits ... enough for the whole union. And they should wear them to work every day, so that they are easy to pick out in a crowd of real workers.

Or, you can just look for the ones who are just sitting around. That works too.

A fork truck? You lazy truck drivers sit in out lounge while we unload your truck and you get paid. So Wegmans pays us and you at the same time. Not productive. It cost Wegmans money to employ you.

Welcome to the fight!

These worthless union types are either absolutely clueless how they are hurting America, or they are aware ... and deserve to be treated like the criminals they are.

WOW!!! This is interesting!!!!

Not only are the teamsters crooks, but they have a hand at locking up people just to make a quota!

SO the teamsters are responsible for turning America into one big, profitable prison!

Here is a great example of how teamster use bully tactics on everyday working people to get what they want.
In this case, they are heckling families mourning the lost of their family members.

And they say they are only fighting for a decent wage for the working man.

Wegmans says the final proposal will give full-time employees an immediate $1,000 lump sum payment.
(I'll pay you $1000 dollars to stop being a pain in the ass and get back to work)

Wegmans says it will give an 18 percent pay raise over six years.
(that's a 3% increase in pay, regardless of how the economy or the store is doing in the next 6 years.)

Wegmans says it will also include a company-based retirement package in place of the union's current retirement fund.

(say WHAT?!?! In 20 years, Wegamans will be paying for a force of retired drivers who don't drive with company profits, AND a they will still have to pay a force of drivers who only drive, but don't load or unload the truck!!!
In today's workforce, there are no more "company Pensions!" Even the military doesn't pay a pension anymore! The military makes YOU contribute to a Thrift Savings Plan, and they match YOUR contributions up to 5%.)

Wegmans should tell these crooks to hit the road, and only use independent drivers for their delivery force.
