No doubt radio is a very very intense tough business that takes an immense amount of work and effort to stay on top.I can certainly tell you that it is not for the faint of heart and the hours are brutal. If people believe that a show is only about the hours on the air they could not be more wrong. On the other hand if some hosts think they can just cheat and do the minimum they will pay the ratings price and not last very long on the air/

I would really hope that any one in the radio industry would give a moment of silence to a veteran of the old school radio .

Not sure why you hate people who have a different opinion than Alan or your self but it certainly is hypocritical. Just because some one has a different view point than Alan does not mean it is not relevant. In actuality it is scary to think about the idea that If Alan has closed your mind so much that you can not even have an honest open debate than you are a perfect candidate for a tyrant to take over.\\
For what ever reason you believe that Alan is a good person .Ok so that is your opinion and I have no issue with that.I believe his actions and his deeds to not match that and because of that you hate me .But the facts are that Alan was a HUGE proponent ,( that means he thought he was a great man and supported him) of Mayor Johnson .This is not a opinion for this is fact and as every one knows and you yourself have stated that Johnson was at the very least a lousy mayor. But Alan not only supported him but he was very happy about the fast ferry that a majority of the people in Rochester did not want it.It cost this city around 145 millhouse and counting and Alan supported it .
It is easy for Djs who are not responsible to want foolish ferries that waste money and then blame the citizens who did not even want it begin with for being the problem but this is not the first time Alan has burned the public.
On the topic of Jimmy,he was one of the original Djs who paved the way for Alan the brother wease el levin.Even though jimmy was only a few years older than Alan he was a trend setter and a trail blazer who should be recognized by every one in the radio industry.I can only hope Alan would recognize his comrades in the radio industry when Alan started. The age difference was not enough between them to matter that much
