article and some funny pics here

A few points from the article

"Few know the consequences of recent violence in Rochester as intimately as Toni Nelson.

Her son, Michael Nelson, 24, was one of three people shot and killed in a Chili Avenue apartment in February. Wearing a shirt emblazoned with her son's image and the words "rest in paradise,"

"Nelson, a city native, said she remembers when people could argue or disagree without resorting to guns."

"Nelson said her son was not involved with drugs, nor anything else illegal. Michael was hanging out with friends and was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, she said.

"He was a great kid," she said. "He didn't deserve to be killed like that."

"His father, Michael Nelson Sr., died similarly in a shooting in 1993, according to Nelson. The gunman mistook him for someone else, she said."

That's allot of wrong place at wrong time for one family! Hmm.

When is the candlelight vigil? Are T-shirts still available? You gotta have the T-shirt or it doesn't mean nothin'.

She should be buying a kevlar vest instead of a T-shirt.

They can walk from here to Cali and back, and it wont change a thang in da hood. In fact during the months it'll take them to do it, there will be even more shootings and deaths by the time they get back.

But on the plus side, that fat lady will have lost quite a few pounds

Chances are, 5% of the marchers will end up at Strong with surgical needs in the next 12 months, either from gunshots or stabbing.

Aside from the feelgood aspect, these marches accomplish absolutely nothing... because thugs don't say "Golly, we have to rethink our lifestyle. Look at all these fine people sending us a message."

Due to the frequency of these events, can't believe the local channels consider it news anymore.

We need more pastors reaching out. They seem to be very successful.
