Supreme Court Rules Against Affirmative Action

The Supreme Court upheld a Michigan ban on affirmative action, a ruling that will make it easier for states to bar public universities from considering race in admissions.

The ruling leaves in place a Michigan constitutional amendment, approved by voters in 2006, that bans preferential treatment based on race, ethnicity or gender in state and local hiring practices. It is likely to embolden opponents of affirmative action, who plan to put similar measures on the ballots in other states.

Affirmative action is illegal, it never really worked well at all, and is surely not necessary anymore. If you work hard and achieve, no matter your color, you should reap the reward. If you did not earn it, you sould not be given a place in college over someone who worked for it just because of your race.

Want to bet that Holder, Obama, Sharpton, Jackson and the rest of the race hustlers will be raising a stink over the ruling?

NAACP was on NBC national news, saying this will really curtail black education. No, it levels the playing field.

Oh, sorry, your C students can no longer get into top tier schools that only except exceptional white students. Darned shame. Well, there is always Bryant & Stratton for criminal justice (security guard training) or hair design.

Even their guy (Justice Thomas) voted against affirmative action.

It's about time they opened the door to states to let their voters decide. Hopefully, it will be voted down across the country. Kind of a no brainer decision to lose it.

Getting a job on merit/skills, or being accepted by a college/university based on academics makes sense.Removing this entitlement that has caused huge problems in federal state and local governments, as well as colleges is overdue.

I'm sure that you must be speaking about the current resident of the White House, oh wait, you can't be because he sealed his records and no one knows what his grades were, strange isn't it? Also you can't be speaking of Obama when it comes to 5000 Americans getting killed because under him there have more than double that number killed(in less time). But maybe you are speaking about Obama seeing that our country owes more than tripled since he took office and the true number of unemployed has never gone below 18%. Gee, isn't it awful when the facts are facts and the democratic spin is nothing but spin? Good try, but another fail at spewing the liberal/progressive talking points. What are you going to try next, the republican war against women, class warfare, maybe the race card or keep blaming Bush six years later? You really should get your "facts" from sites other than the far left Media Matters(owned by Soros), Huffington Post and the rest socialist rags.

Once again I tried to post and it wouldn't, is there a problem with this site? I'll try again, if you take the time to go to the BLS site(government site) and read the U-6 page/stats you would see that the real number of unemployed is what I stated. The stat that the White House and the media report are the U-3 stats which are not the true number of the unemployed. The U-3 stats don't add in the number of people that lost their unemployment benefits and stopped looking for work for one thing. There are still over a million more people unemployed since Obama took office than under Bush. These are the government stats, not mine, sorry but the facts are the facts. BTW: The sky in my world is blue not red like in your socialist world and the food lines are 6 times longer since Obama took office if you take the increase of the number of people on food stamps or some other type of government programs. Again, facts are facts, sorry.
