They always keep everything secret when its an officer involved shooting.,
They all need to get their stories together before they say anything.

The police are still investigating, so they can't tell us if the cop was shot or if the cop shot someone???

Seems they should already know that, so I don't see why they need to keep that secret???

Probably a thug wearing a hoodie tried to rob him or play the knock out game and got shot by a cop, I cant wait for the "race card" to be pulled by the victim if he is even black. I can see the head lines now " White off duty RPD officer, Shoots black teen"

Dude read the link or watch the news before you start talking. it probably was a thug wearing the hoodie but the call was for a burglary in progress. I would hope that RPD officers are not breaking into homes now, but why would a RPD officer want to live in the dark neighborhood anyway.
Rochester, N.Y.- Police are at the scene of a shooting in Rochester.

Rochester Police said that officers were called to 436 South Avenue at 5:26 a.m. Monday for the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arriving, officers found a person had been shot.

Police said that an off-duty officer was involved in the incident, but they would not comment on whether that officer was the victim or the shooter.

they both must be white because there is no names or pictures released, or so that's what I hear

The cop owns that house and lives at that house.
And if you saw the news you'd see the guy going in the ambulance on a stretcher was WHITE.

So either the white cop was shot or the cop shot a white guy or the white cop shot himself.

either ither, it had nothing to do with a black guy in a hoodie.

When it's an officer involved shooting, the should get a different police department like the Troopers to handle the investigation.

Do we really believe the RPD can investigate it self??

And why can't they tell us who shot who by now????

Any facts I've gave are facts.

And how long are we going to have to wait till they release the rest of the facts???
Does it really take that long to figure out who shot who??

It seems to me if a city cop was involved that all actions must have been correct and there shouldn't be any delay in releasing simple information like who shot who.

It was all secret cause the RPD officer shot his friend????

Was it his boyfriend????

""""" Investigators believed Andrews used a key to get into the apartment that was given him to by Bongiovanni, but say they don't believe the two lived together.""" """"

If he's a cop didn't they just ask him, "do you to gays live together"????

How come no arrest??? No charges??? The Monroe County Sheriff or the New You State Troopers should have taken over this case if it involved an RPD officer. It would only be common sense. The Mayor needs to look into this and make it clear how the RPD is to handle police involved shootings from now on.

White RPD shoots gay lover. Nothing to see here move on. Case closed. If it was a black in a hoodie it would be another matter. We black males are not faaags like you whites or play with little kids. We are real men.

It's awful to see so many people spouting off their judgments and assumptions on things they have no idea about. Thinking it's something the people involved will or won't see? Do you think about the families of these people? Because yes they ALL read these and so many other cruel and thoughtless comments made by angry people without a clue. A family going through hell doesn't need this. If you don't know ask. Otherwise shut your mouths and stop making yourself seem like such fools now I don't know why you have such strong negative feelings toward the RPD but realize not everyone is the same and also opening your mouth without knowledge can hurt innocent people that are already hurting. Now if you can read this and still not care, I am genuinely sorry for whatever happened in your life that made you so cold but I only wish you the best. I was someone very close to this specific situation and both men involved are great kind hearted men with beautiful families. And your assumptions were wrong. Very wrong. Rude and cruel. Try meeting people before you judge them on such a public forum.
