We're moving to Minneapolis, MN next month. I ordered cable and internet from Comcast. It was eye opening.

Internet + Basic cable package is $69.00 (basic HD cable gives you local plus tons of channels like History, A&E etc).

Now get this. Standard internet speed is 50 down and 8 up (advertised and guaranteed). The Comcast rep said it usually runs at 10-12 MB up in his experience. He was laughing when he heard T-W in Rochester is 10 down and 1 up for more money. Comcast's standard package is what T-W uses as their ultimate uber expensive internet package.

T-W Rochester rates (and poor service) is a huge ripoff. Plus more than 50% of the channels are worthless.

Rochester TW is nuts. Comcast and others have far lower rates nationally. TW called recently to see if I wanted to upgrade to "Turbo" (bumps the speed to 20/2 instead of 10/1), but the price was about $10 additional. Our cable/internet bill (without HBO) is $177.20. Wish there was Comcast or AT&T here. We're getting hosed bigtime by TW.
