"Blacks need not apply"......It's no secret that MCSO doesn't hire blacks for Road Patrol. I've only seen one black Deputy and he WAS a part-timer assigned to the airport. they just started hiring women in the last 10years or so.
They will hire a unqualified son of a former Deputy before they will hire a fully qualified person of color.

Why is that? Because they can fire or discipline the white guy when he screws up. But if the black guy screws up then it results in EEO complaints and ties up department resources.

No, they would need to train the 9-1-1 dispatchers to speak ebonics.

Not really an issue, between the black dispatchers and the white ones that dispatch for the City and Towns with black cops; they've got that covered.

Make them Jr Deputies, don't give them guns. Assign them to the local malls. The can work with that Patriot nutcase. Diversity problem solved.
