I am glad that certain people of Roane County have grown up and stopped talking about kids at the park. The park is a very good thing for Walton. My child goes there all the time, and there is nothing that goes on there. It was a shame to see people talk about it like it was a terrible place, just trying to run kids' names into the ground. The people of Walton have worked hard for the kids to have some place they can play ball and meet up with their friends. Kudos I say!!

The Walton park is not a place to leave your kids unsupervised...I don't know who you are or care to know why you would want to rekindle this conversation but yesterday 2/18/2013 there was teenagers there playing ball and cussing like sailors ..this is not what I want my little kids to hear ? And the bigger boy with dark hair was smoking and hiding doing it so I don't know what he had or was up too but the under the bridge is where the action happens trust me I have witnessed alot of bad things there in the warmer months.I had all I can take of the place myself I don't want my kids to act like those kids blowing up rubbers and drinking a fifth of something.I personally walked up on a 13 or 14 year old girl preforming acts on another local teen and that is just the beginning of what I could tell you

To the person who posted under the name it is what it is. I just want to say Thank You we all know this park was put in for our kids to have a place to go and have fun, but we us as parents see bad things going on then thats something else. And until the parents of these kids quit upholding them and listen to parents who have seen the bad things that goes on then its a losing battle. Soon it will be called the best little who*e park in walton.

Maybe you should put it out there and with names so it can get back to the parents. But if the parents are letting them go down there in the first place maybe they don't care. I know there are also a lot of pictures being passed around as well. One mother was told her son was sending pictures of his d--k to girls but she refuesed to believe it saying her son wouldn't do that. Guess what he did. Sad part is most of these kids are still in middle school. Parents need to get a clue to what there kids are really doing before they end up raising babies from these sex addicted kids.

Lets put the blame on the real problem the parents or must I say lack of parenting. You have these adults who are raising kids who try an act like kids themself. Guess what time to grow the hell up. You are adults start acting like adults. Stop letting your kids run wild. And it also looks bad when you are allowing your kids to have boys sleep over. Yes they are having sex are you really that dumb to think they are not? People need to open there eyes and stop acting clueless as to what there kids are doing. I know you can not be that dumb. Be a parent not a friend. They already have enough friends that are leading them in the wrong direction.

I would not hesitate to report anything that I seen regarding these kids. Smoking, drinking, sexual acts, vandalism..I could go on.. Yes, we parents do need to supervise the kids at the park...when we can..I go to the park with my kids and sometimes I drop them off..but I also return to check in on them and I expect to hear from them by a certain time.. I took a group of kids to the park on Saturday and dropped them off...but they were not there very long..and I was at the park on Monday, however I only saw another parent with her children, and no one else was there at that time..Of course most kids are going to cuss outside of home...but the other stuff is what I am concerned about...I would want someone to contact me if my children are caught doing something that they shouldn't be doing for their age. They key is...ask questions all the time..ask who was at the park with them, and ask what they did, and if anything happened..I do, I ask all the time..I pay attention to what other parents are saying on facebook..to make sure my children were or were not involved..and when I have been at the park, I watch out for other children..you can tell the kids who are up to something and the ones who are not because when parents show up..the kids who are sneaking around and are up to no good scatter when parents show up..next time you are at the park watch and see if I am right. Now my final words..for the most part..our park is great and we need it..our kids need it..I would suggest giving them a time frame for the park..then go get them...and ask questions.."who all was there?" "what did you guys do?" "did everyone get along?" I ask this stuff..everytime..I might be nagging..but I ask..beleive me..your kids will tell you stuff..just start asking..

Walton is a great little town to raise your children but to have to go to the little park and see stuff go on like this is uncalled for. The parents need to start watching their children instead of just letting them go there for the whole day. Once they are out of their sight they do not have a clue as to what is going on. Most of the ones that are there everyday is ones that live very close to the park where they can walk to get there. I for one will not let my child go there if this kind of stuff is going on unless I can stay there with as well.

I agree with alot of the post here but I do not think regardless of age people should be dropping of kids unsupervised RIGHT NOW I am not however saying not to drop teens at a later date but there is way to many issues right now that they can easily get involved in ..such as drugs.Walton is great and the park is wonderful but not if only a few get to use it because of the older kids.I will not put kids names on here but those parents know more than we think probably or they think they are perfect who knows
