According to a WBZ news report, the owner of Picaro, did not murder his wife but instead performed a mercy killing because she had been diagnosed with cancer. In addition, his home had been forclosed and he was completely broke. He appealed to the bank to remain in the home until his wife passed away because he had no other place to go. The bank refused which precipitated the "murder/suicide" carried out by the husband. My question is who is the bank that refused to help this forlorn family. I personally would like to contact the bank president to let him know my thoughts concerning his character or lack thereof.

I think I read in the Southbridge Evening News last week that the bank is North Brookfield Savings. The article gave a lot of input from the family of the couple. It was an awful situation, and the bank made it worse. The man tried to negotiate with the bank, he had upcoming work, and would be able to pay off debt soon, the bank was not willing act humane.
