Hill will win, any spending hike has come from Bush and Daniels cutting the funding, and unless you want no government then you have to do something right? That is how Daniels has balanced his budget, he passed the buck down the line. It seems he learned very well from his time on Mr. Bush's staff.

This is typical of Politics in this Country, You are forced to choose between Bad or Worse. We really need a viable third Party.

These two candidates are so much a like they might as well be in the same party. Hill is a snob and Sodrel is christian conservative. I will vote for Hill in hopes of the Democrats maintaining control of the House, not because I think he deserves to win!

I remember driving through southern IN in 2007 and seeing a single issue billboard:

"BARON HILL SUPPORTS ABORTION"

And I thought to myself, this is all the GOP has left. That and lots of fear. Sodrel lost that one.

Oh, didn't Sodrel knowingly hire illegals and didn't his business also get nailed for tax irregularities?

Just making a gentle point about what people say and what they do.

I'll enjoy watching this one, keep the faith out there and don't get TOO worn out!

I think it's time for all of Indiana's districts to take notice and stop sending Pelosi/Kennedy pupits to Washington.
Learn the issues and who your candidates really stand for, how they vote in Washington vs what they tell us when they come back to Indiana.
We cannot afford to be party loyal.
Hoodwinked into thinking they are the same parties that our parents knew.

Oh no! Not the Pelosi/Kennedy "mess"! Heaven forbid!
Mr. Johnson, after watching your GOP-controlled Congress run up record deficits, sell it's soul to big oil and Jack Abramoff, send our troops off without proper equipment, bring injured troops back without proper medical care, and hide the Mark Foley scandal, I'm thinking that the "mess" is something I can live with.

I'd like to know what higher taxes and more spending Sodrel is talking about. When congress tried to protect the uninsured children, Ebenezer Bush vetoed it. The only spending increase has been in W's Folly in Iraq. If you're going to run, Mike, get the facts straight.

The sign "Hill Supports Abortion" is interesting because Hill was supposedly pro-life when he was a state legislator, decided he was pro-choice when he ran for US Senate against Dan Coats, then must have changed his mind again, becuase now he doesn't seem to know whether innocent life deserves any protections or if abortion should be paid for with our tax dollars.(By the way, in remember all his campaigns, I have a question. Has Baron Hill held a non-government related job in 30 years?)

Anyway, the best sign I saw was one of those blue and white "I support the Ten Commandments" signs in a person's yard in Southern Indiana right next to a Hill for Congress sign... one problem though ... Hill voted against a bill to allow existing Ten Commandments monuments to stay on public property... Opps !

If nothing else, this Rocky 4 film should be entertaining... I'm glad I don't live in that district.

I wish I could vote for Sodrel. At least he has run a business, hired and fired people, knows how hard it is to make a payroll every week, and deal with a government that has no clue what it is like in the private sector to earn a living. It is easier to spend money like Hill does in Government give away programs than to earn it.
