isn't the IRL the series with the cars that hit a hot dog wrapper on the track and magnificently flip end over end after launching nose first like the space shuttle?????

I've seen their highlights on ESPN and I've never had the time to sit around and watch paint dry like that but if the end result is a flying picnic table then count me in as a new fan of the Indy car thingymajingy.

They should racelaunch 'em on the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Most flips and longest distance from take off to landing wins!

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF CHUMP CAR HAS OFFERED ANY INCENTIVES TO THE IRL FOR THERE DRIVERS TO BE ABLE TO RUN IN THAT SERIES.

NASCAR has probably had more cars flip over the years than Indy Car. If you'll remember they were running around 200+. The powers that be slowed them down before they flew into the grandstands!

So Garrett,
You gonna wait to see if your CCWS can actually put on a season before you start advertising?
Remember...advertising for the CCWS on IRL threads really doesn't work too well. But I'm sure you will continue with your old ways. You don't seem to business savey...Kind of like your boss.

What a joke!
TG stated that he was trying to save open wheel racing. This from the guy who ripped a not perfect but healthy series apart. I still remember the (CART) days when the stand were full at very event and now this guy is going to SAVE open wheel racing?
Like I said what a joke, TG claims he made the wonderful offer but he is not telling the press that the deal was Champ Car had to turn their series over to him.

Am I to understand that the only way to save open wheel racing is to give the whole thing to the guy who destroyed it in the first place, like I said, WHAT A JOKE!

Nothing matters except 1 unified series. Tony this, Kevin that... Road America in the early 90's,where 100,000+ fans were on hand to watch some REAL racing. No one there cared anything about NASCAR that weekend! Tony may be a jerk, but he has the money and resources to make open wheel racing number one again!

Honda has a stake here. Who drives Honda? No one in America would actually buy a Honda. IRL is lost in Translation. Maybe AGR could run all the cars and really win without all the crash and burn. No sportsman here! Formula 1 wanna-bees with little talent and not much sportsmanship.IRL makes American racing look like a masquerade for Japanese interest. It's all about Honda. God Bless America and let IRL go to Japan-where it belongs.
