i am so sorry for the family of this young man and may they grieve in piece without people posting comments that are not like the one above. This young man was out having a great ride on a nice day and a accident happened. May he rest in piece and all the friends and family rememeber all the great thing he accomplished in his short life here.

Matt was a great guy. He died doing what he loved. Matt will be missed by many friends and family. Unfortunately, Matt liked to drive fast on his bike and I fear that was a factor. He loved his bike and all of the changes he had made to it in the last few months. My thoughts and prayers are with him mom and step-dad, his sister, and his father along with his numerous friends.

People saying "He died doing what he loved" really get my blood boiling. I love to ride & drive my race car but I do NOT want to die doing either! This poor man died, isn't that enough? No one deserves to die a painful death on a bike, personally I want to go in my sleep, suddenly & painless

No one wants to die a painful death! To say that is absurd! Matt loved his bike, he loved riding it! No one has insinuated that he wanted to die we are just saying that when the accident happened he was riding his bike which is what he loved to do. I ride my motorcycle, but that doesn't mean I want to die doing it, but I would hope that my friends and family would take comfort in the fact that I loved what I was doing. If it truly gets "your blood boiling" then you truly don't understand how much he loved riding his bike!

I think you misconstrued my remark. I do NOT like to hear about people dying doing what they loved to do, no one wants to die doing what they love. I have known several people that cheated death in close to death accidents & if they had their choice they would not have ridden that day. To say I do not understand someone's love for riding is assuming you know me, which you do not. I love riding enough I rode every day, rain, snow, ice, whatever, for over 3 years. Only my severe joint problems stopped me so I know a little about loving what I do. Accidents do happen, I know from experience, and I am not trying to belittle this young mans tragic exit from life on this planet, what I am saying is given the choice, do not belittle this young mans memory by saying a remark he can not make himself.

I went to school with him. He has always been a crazy driver. I remember one time him running threw a stop sign with me in the vehicle, didn't make me too happy. Anyways my condolences to the family.

I got this quote from Matts's myspace Page
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to ride in on one wheel, helmet in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!""
Becase of what he said and how he lived, he will not be the only amoung his friends to say
"He died doing what he loved"
Nobody wants to die, but if given a choice of death or never riding again, i believe he would take the chance all over again.
He had a near death experience 3 years ago and it didnt slow him down any
He is loved and missed be many

We went to high school with Matt, and he was one of those people that you just loved no matter what he did. He could always make you laugh. Honestly, I don't remember him ever being in a bad mood; he was just care-free the majority of the time. We went on several float trips to the Illinois River with him. It was always a fun time. He is definitely already missed more than words can say. Him and his family are in our prayers and thoughts.

Sad deal this happned but it looks like he liked to push the limit. His myspace page is private but from his headline it looks like he enjoyed stunt riding as well.

Sorry to hear this. My prayers are with this mans family. May he rest in peace.

APitNmdNaniBones It seems you think you must post everywhere on this board and most of the time it's nothing but trash coming out of your mouth. Looks like you dig into everyones business just looking for dirty laundry. Get a life.

For the record I haven't posted on this forum since Friday am and today I have posted maybe 5 times. YOu really need to worry bout yourself, the only thing I was saying was he did like to push it to the limit. His friends stated that but when I do it's airing dirty laundry. Sounds to me like this is a personal attack. Any name that is mentioned in the news I look up on various sites. I will add you to my fan club list. Thanks for the concern.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
