Applebee’s Announces Make-A-Wish Foundation® of South Carolina Fundraiser Kickoff
South Carolina Restaurants Aim to Raise $200,000 for Wish Granting
The Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s restaurants in North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas, is proud to announce the launch of its annual fundraising program for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of South Carolina. The fundraiser is taking place from March 1 until April 30 in participating Apple Gold Group restaurants throughout South Carolina.
“There is no greater satisfaction than seeing the joy on a child’s face when they have their wish granted,” said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group.“We are proud to support this cause with the help of our South Carolina communities and we hope our guests will join us in making this year our most successful ever.”
Guests dining at any of the Apple Gold Group’s 45 South Carolina Applebee’s have the opportunity to purchase a Wish Card from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses in the Carolinas. And, to say thanks, the Wish Card also gives $10 worth of discounts at Applebee’s.
“Make-A-Wish is extremely proud of our partnership with Applebee’s. For more than a decade, they have been our greatest champion, raising more money than any other company or group in the state,” said Russell Smith, CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of South Carolina.“Due to their commitment and compassion for these special children, we continue the proud tradition of never turning down a medically qualified child for a wish.”
The Apple Gold Group’s Make-A-Wish Foundation® campaign is a continued extension of the company’s community outreach efforts. Over the past year, the company’s combined 119 locations raised over $1 million dollars for local non-profit organizations in the communities they serve.
