I am so sick of people trying to shove their religion in my face and yet they are a completely different person outside of church. All I hear from people all day is how certain groups of people are horrible and on and on. I thought christians were supposed to embrace people no matter color, sex, or sexual orientation. Boy was I ever wrong. Since moving up, you so called Christians are the most racist, ass backwards people I have ever met in my life.
Lasly, before anyone evens brings it up I was raised in the baptist church and made the choice to be baptised when I was 14 and accept Jesus in my life so before it if said I am a believer and not some athesist, however, the group of "God Fearing Christians" who consider themselves true Christians are the farthest from anything I would ever want to have in my life.

Wow, thats some powerful post

I am definitely sorry that you feel this way. You are right - some christian do rub people the wrong way. The Bible says - Do not be quick to judge. You are right it is not our place to judge, but to be judged by the Lord. I think its a major call to those individuals to stop judging and realize they are causing more harm than good - perfect example here.

Jesus said it to perfection. We have two things we need to worry about
1. The great Commission - Go preach the Gospel (not judge one another) to all the Earth.
2. The Great Commandment - "This is my commandment that you love one another."

Those were the biggest things Jesus mentioned. If you feel that in order to get the point accross to someone to have them come to Jesus and condemn them - reconsider.

LOVE them...

I work in a restaurant, and the so called "church goers" that we have every sunday, are some of the rudest, nastiest people that I've seen. One particularly nasty one is a Preacher! So, I've decided that the next time that I witness these people treating our servers nasty, I just might accidentally pour tea in their laps.Heck, maybe I'll even just go over and call them out in front of everyone. Oops, there goes my job. What amazes me, is that people don't have enough common sense to realize, that the people who feed you deserve the utmost respect because they really do work hard and try hard to please. That is how they make their money.

You're right. I see kids at school who claim to love Jesus so much, yet outside of church, they're not even virgins. It's a bit sickening, really.

What's loving Jesus have to do with one's virginity or lack thereof?

It isn't so much loving Jesus as following God's law. He stses clearly in the Bible that he does not approve of sex before marriage and fornication and such. Someone may claim to love Jesus, but if they don't obey him, can they really be called Christian?

I'm not going against people or downing them when I say this. I'm only stating what I know, so please don't think that.

Well, yes, that applied to those who self-identify as Christians. It's a good thing I don't.

It's not a matter of my own choice, actually. Well, it wasn't to begin with. a few years ago, when I was about seven, my setepmom started making us go to church. At first, i was being a whiny little brat (haha) and didn't like it, but at fifteen, I've learned to come in terms with what God's Law really is. It's what i feel is right, and to me, it makes the most sense. God has answered my prayers and performed miracles many times before, and so this has only increased my faith in Him.:) Basically, I'm a Christian because I know He exists.

I'm talking to the people who complain about religion.

I simply believe he does, and I believe i've been given proof on several occasions. I don't need science or anything to prove He exists. I have faith.

Um...I'll give you a definition.

"Christian Theology. the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved. "

"Confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.'
