Would this be considered a presidential gaffe?
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.… Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here'. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
Senator Barack Obama, 2006
He voted against raising the debt ceiling in 2006. In 2007 and in 2008, he did not even bother to vote on the debt ceiling increase.
It was his admission that he is fiscally irresponsible and a failure. At least he took responsibility for something, instead of blaming someone else as he usually does.

LMAO! spin deflect, spin deflect.

Just like rising gas prices. Pelosi, Reid, and Obama demanded that Bush do something about it. When happens during Obama, the response from them is, the POTUS can do nothing to control gas prices.

My god brain dead lemming liberals are fcuking HYPOCRITES.

Sorry to tell you Skippy. But your LORD GOD OBAMA is fiscally irresponsible and a failure, just as he said it of Bush it applies today.

Er....are you sure you are replying to the correct poster? I posted Obama's comments to show the utter hypocrisy of Barack Obama, 2011 debt ceiling stance which was completely opposite to his 2006 comments..If in doubt, reread.

Socialism in MA?? Oh that's right ROMNEY was governor and put through his social agenda.
Now he wants to be President? Good Grief!
Romney was Governor in name only. The legislature is more than 8 to 1 Democrats. The Republicans dont control anything in the State House. Everything is controlled by the Senate President and The Speaker of the House.

The economy was giant mess long before he took office. Let's begin with the Big 3 automakers, Wall St., Maddoff, Banks lending more than people could afford to pay back, Real Estate agents jacking the prices of homes, mortgage companies doing the same as banks, Oil companies inflating prices and consumers who want cheap products instead of quality and spending more than they make. Yea Obama is responsible for everyones mistakes before he took office. NOT!!!!!!

When Reagan was elected in 1981 we also had Bob Hope and Johnny Cash.
Now we have Obama with no hope, and no cash.
The reason for no cash is cause you spent it all on that cheap stuff at Walmart. The reason for no hope is cause Walmart sent all that money to China!

Oh yeah. Elvis birthday and Obamas birth certificate are equally important. Yes one is just as important as the other when it comes to our country. Get a clue.

Actually, Elvis's birthday has always been more important to Americans than any American President's birth certificate. At least until this African-American President. Which as you recall ended up being just another dog whistle.

Sorry, but they got great prices on ammunition which, by the way, is made in America.
