I'll say it once again, one does not need to be a citizen of the united states in order to legally purchase firearms, to legally possess firearms or to obtain a concealed carry permit in any state, including South Carolina.
When one knows nothing one repeats the same line over and over even if it's incorrect or they have no proof...that is not a know-all-be-all phrase for every state in the Union.

Therefore, to make a blank statement based on assumption, that the shooter was a "citizen" without having checked his documents, is kind of stupid.

You'll see this a lot of times when someone makes the comment about the second amendement and "law abiding citizens". Amendment II makes no reference whatsoever about citzenship or law abiding...in fact, one does not need to be a citizen in the U.S. in order to legally purchase or possess a firearm, nor is there a "law abiding" test.

You are right on that. There were no laws against felons owning weapons until they forced the 1968 gun control act on us. Before that , anyone could buy a firearm just like the constitution mandated.

Now, all people have to do to promote progressive gun control is to get more misdemeanor criminal laws turned into felonies and BOOYAH!

The other thing they are using to help strip people of their right to possess firearms is the exansion of definitions in regards to misdemeanor domestic violence laws...a conviction for misdemeanor domestic violence is lifetime disabling of one's right to arms, even if the conviction occured in 1903. This was the Lautenberg amendment of the Brady bill and even though the constitution specifically prohibits ex post facto laws, it passed. Progressive socialism at it's finest.

The really great part is, none of that gun law crap really matters here, you got one dead, one going to prison and a guy that had his ccw and got free breakfast..that is the entire story..
I'm good with it.

But see, you jumped off this threads topic again, for absolutely no reason but to try to make your point...FAIL...

if you want to discuss another topic, you either need to start a new thread or at the very least bring some kind of fact to this thread, otherwise, you justy(tm) sound like the fool you have already been on this particular thread. You have to at least be smart enough to understand that I and 99% of the people here don't live in S.C. an have no clue what you are talking about..There is a much larger picture out here and your perspective is a very, very small piece..

I live near Bridgeport Connecticut. Go to the upper right hand corner and type in this zip code: 06606, and read the comments from AVA_AVA_Ava from your city.

So what's your point? LOL! In the US and in the states, a person is not required to be a citizen inorder to legally possess a firearm, lol.
