You cannot actually see your kids on the video when viewing from work and the directors were not very kid friendly nor understanding with mine. The daycare assistants who actually take care of the kids were required to clean constantly which is a good thing but bad in that they had no time or patience for the kids resulting in a lot of turn over in employees at the one in Greenville. I would not take my kids to this facility after my experience with them.

I am not sure where on Roper Mountain you will be but we use Kids R Kids which is just off of Woodruff. They do full time care and have an afterschool program.
They are near the Hobby Lobby if that helps you pin point it.

I use Kids R Kids as well and they are awesome!

Does anyone know if these facilities are in any way connected to the Kids R Kids Childcare facility located at the north end of Myrtle Beach, SC in the late 80's. My sister, brother, and I attended that daycare on first shift, but they were open second shift as well and a 2 year old died there while his parents worked second shift one night. The daycare center was shut down, and I was curious if either of these were affiliated with that one. You can never be too careful when it comes to your children!

They are a franchise out of Georgia and the one in Greenville opened in 2001 is the first opened in the state of SC.

Be aware, the Greer Kids R Kids are currently under investigation by DSS for a child molesting teacher. Teacher been fired as of last Friday but day care was not quick to react at the first accusation. Took 3 parental complaints and threats to call police before they acted. Consider if you want to send your children to a day care where the staff obviously did not think of the children first. Day care should've called DSS at first accusation for start of investigation. Instead they moved teacher out of the room to a YOUNGER CHILDREN'S ROOM!

This is not true or accurate. There was no molesting. Please contact them directly or Spartanburg Co. DSS if you want the real facts - the staff were the ones who asked for the investigation and teacher was put on leave while investigating. Obviously a competitor is trying to hurt them and all the other caring teachers that work there by spreading rumors. That is sad.

I am a pissed off parent who personally know one of the families of the children who were coerced by the teacher to commit very disgusting acts that any normal person would consider "sexual molestation", so no, this is NOT a competitor posting to hurt the day care and staff. I want to warn people who currently have children there or considering sending their kids there to be aware what's happened there. You can confirm with DSS there is an investigation, but they can't tell you the details b/c it is an ongoing investigation. I could forgive the day care if they really did report to DSS immediately b/c it's not their fault if the person they hired had no previous allegations/convictions, HOWEVER they refused to act or report on the teacher until AFTER multiple victimized families had reported to DSS & then threatened to call in the news media b/c the day care refused to suspend the teacher, more than a week after the first report. And that is what's SAD, the staff did not put the safety of the childen first!

My child is in the class where the actions did or did not take place. My heart goes out to the victims of this horrific crime. They should've had a meeting with all the parents In the class explaining what happen and open the floor for questions. Instead we get a vague letter sent home looking like it was written by a 5th grader. Then they have the nerve to hike tuition up 50 a month for the families that stayed in that class.
Sounds like to me everyone failed to do the wright thing for the child, regarless of the out come. We pay them enough money they should always always put the children first before the dollars. It's no wonder the classes are getting less and less children I'm them.

Oh my gosh. Why were we never alerted of this, this is my first time hearing about this on the news of all places just now. What class is/was she in. I for one would like to know some answers why everyone was not alerted. I am fuming, I thought our kids were safe there even as I picked up my child tonight from there. Was the person in question in 300 or 350?

Yes there were somethings that were done wrong but the school as a whole and the owners are GREAT people. My child has been there for 2 years and I have never had any problems. There hasve been issues and my heart goes out to the victims and their families. But the whole facility is not to blame. refferences were checked and the managment did nothing wrong in hiring the accused. Yes this is terriable but everything was followed during hiring. After words the issues that happened, happened and we need to look forward to the new year.

Loving parent - I agree the day care can not be blamed for hiring the teacher as she had no background to indicate she would be a predator. I'm sure the majority of the staff & teachers are great people who really do care for the children. However, news articles say that the daycare owners reported that they acted immediately after being informed by a parent of this teacher's actions, but that is not true. I know some of the parents levying the accusations, the staff/director did not act till a week later. In fact, they told the first parents that "sometimes kids make up stuff" - their child was only 3, they don't make up stuff like this and then told her they did not remove the teacher after the initial accusation b/c "that would put them out of ratio". It was under the pressure of multiple parental accusations that the day care finally removed the teacher and called DSS a week later. If they don't take any corrective actions on the staff member(s) that should've been responsible for reporting immediately, the day care needs to at least do some re-training with their administrative staff so that they know what is is they need to do in situations like this. Leaving the children in danger of more predatorial advances a week after an accusation is UNFORGIVABLE.(FYI - "lewd acts" was more than mere touching...) Some of these children are truly traumatized, some cried as they reported what happened knowing deep down soemthing was not right with what they were told to do.(the woman would punish them if they did not obey) Even after the arrest, I know of another family who just found out that their son was victimized too - the parents are devastated. It's sad the repercussions of what this woman has done to the children and their families.
