I know that in ancient Hebrew, there is no “J” or a “J” sound so how did “Jesus” come about?

The Greek name of 'Iesous', pronounced 'Yeh soos' was transliterated in English to 'Jesus'.

The Hebrew name of 'Yeshua' was transliterated to 'Joshua'.

In the English KJV Bible Joshua and Jesus are the same, simply depending upon where their root came from. They are used interchangeably in Acts 7:45 and Hebrew 4:8

As with anything I write, I ask the reader to be like the Bereans; ".........in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." (Acts 17:11)

How do you know it's not a made up fairytale? I don't see people parting seas, walking on water , or being resurrected in today's society. I'm just saying, how do you know?

Glad you ask...We, pretty well know when HE will return.

The problem is; Are you sure which side you will be on?

Our (all of us) souls are Eternal. Which Eternity (Heaven or Hell) do you want to go to?

I really doubt god is reading this post bro. If we have to “pray” to get involved in his “plan” then I’m out. I’m not kissing anyone’s ass. Not even gods.

You are the one asking the questions?

I will do my best to answer your questions .

This forum is for conversation only, not Prayer..

And Yes, God knows what I am reading and writing. HE (The Holy Spirit) is within me.

How can you prove the holy Spirit is within you?

You can't prove it, but praying every day for the health and safety of your family and pray for world peace and for those who suffer, you may feel a sense of calm and peace within you. I believe that if you do something knowingly to harm another such as pass rumors, gossip, etc., it will come back to you in some way. If we know what we are aware of the sins we are doing and proceed to act on them anyway, we are inviting karma. Also, the Bible says that our bodies are a temple and within each of us God lives. Whether that is conscience or awareness within every person; the point is, each of us is responsible for our behaviors. We can either choose to be good or bad, loving, kind, or be unkind or evil. It's our choice. But whatever we choose to be, it will attract either good or bad.

God's WORD (HIS Authority), shows us that the Holy Spirit does indwell within each of us who are TRULY SAVED.

As you stated above, everyone has free will and can choose their lifestyle, world-view, etc.. They also have the ability to choose Jesus Christ as their Savior and believe in His Gospel (1 Cor 15:1-4).

As always, I urge you to follow the Bereans: ".......... in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Acts 17:11

I might also add, that I and others (mankind) are not sovereign over this World. Only God has that Authority.

How can one have free will when it is a predetermined plan?

Instead of arguing the principals of Free Will and Pre-destination, I will touch on the philosophical aspect of pre-destination.

We are created by a GOD who (in an Eternity Past) has seen the entire future of mankind knowing everybody's name before they are born.

He also knows that by Free-Will (that will be given to each person upon their birth),(ALL) who will prior to their death accept Jesus Christ as their savior.

He tells us in; Rom 8:29-30.."For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. ver 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified".

."For whom he did foreknow"????

Those who accepted Jesus Christ via their Free Will in that future HE foresaw. He then "predestined" them, then called them, etc. etc..

By being "pre-destined" or rather 'conditioned' to accept Jesus Christ, one might have in their heart in the beginning Hated of anything to do with religion and/or God Himself . Yet, since their heart has been conditioned by "pre-destination" they are susceptable to the WORD of GOD. Thus their Hatred over time or not, would change to the Love and Acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Savior. This was what was foreknown.

Yes, God could force us to LOVE HIM but it would not last. In fact, we have seen over the centuries; rulers, emperors, pharaohs and kings who required the love of their citizens were eventually faced with their hatred in the end.

In Mat 23:37.."O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!"

We see here the extent that God Loves US, even though the Israel people rejected and killed their Messiah, the SON of GOD. We find that God's Love for them and us was and is still unbounded. " how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings"

He Loves us First (so much) that we might LOVE HIM. Because of that, our LOVE,'at least in my mind', has to come via FREE-WILL!

As always, I ask that anyone reading this post be a good Berean; " in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so".(Acts 17:11)

NO! There is a condition and John 3:16 tells like it is.

YES! God Loves everybody in a benevolent sort of way. He provides the rain, the sunshine, the flowers, grass and trees for all, Sinners and Believers alike.

Unless you believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ by faith and faith alone, that benevolent love is about all one will get (as in everlasting life in Heaven).
